I will never understand Carolina’s roster construction over the years. Karlsson’s a potential trump card in a playoff series, sure, but like, how much money and how many assets are you gonna spend turning your defensive makeup over again and again?

From our pov, I’m cool seeing what 87, 71 and 58 can get out of EK. If they fail, o well. Got the 3 rings.

I don't think it would pay off for them if they get him, but they have scoring problems in the playoffs. Since their system is highly dependant on high volume perimeter shooting, and their PP was complete ass, they may see him as a big help there. They would be able to convert more, either through EK directly or through his playmaking creating true grade A chances.
They were 30th last year in goals for above expected.

Idk…twitter, Carolina fan sites…no one particularly credible but that’s one of the reported returns for Pesce and they’re saying that’s because SJ wants Fabbro back and is working with the Canes
