Oh that's a shame, we won't be doing that anymore, sorry. lolI think we have to offer a 1st regardless.

Did I not call this last year?Where TF is Johan Hedberg when you need him?
This team has very late 90s/early 2000s vibes to it already, after all.
That's fine, we probably wont be going for him anyway. IIRC it was our media heads hyping the trade, not credible people. Someone float we were interested or talking and our clowns took over.Oh that's a shame, we won't be doing that anymore, sorry. lol
I don't think you understand how good their young core is. Johnsson and Fantilli are elite players. Sillinger, Bemstrom, Marchenko are as good a young core as any.
Throw in Gaudreau and Laine and their Top 9 is better than ours.
Columbus was wrecked by injury. They've added Werenski back basically, along with Provorov on D. If they get goaltending, they will challenge for a playoff spot.

Goddamnn Robopenguin.
Oh no, if you saw the presser by Dooby he strongly intimated they had interest. That's fine, we probably wont be going for him anyway. IIRC it was our media heads hyping the trade, not credible people. Someone float we were interested or talking and our clowns took over.
No it doesn't. Gaudreau is a better offensive play driver than anyone we have. Laine is as good as Malkin.Johnsson had 40 points in 79 games last year and Fantilli has literally never even played a NHL game yet. Slow down on calling them "elite". Sillinger had 11 points in 64 games, Bemstrom had 22 points in 55 games and Marchenko had 25 points in 59 games. None of those are impressive results.
Having a bunch of promising but unproven players doesn't make a team have good depth. Their top-9 isn't even in the same stratosphere as the Penguins because the Penguins top-6 blows theirs out of the water.
I missed it I was working, caught up by reading previous pages. I guess if we were into Karlsson Dubas didn't like what the ask turned into and we got forwards instead. We still can go after EK though...but SJ would have to take Granlund/Petry,Oh no, if you saw the presser by Dooby he strongly intimated they had interest.

Again, Johnson will take that next step. Sillinger is 20, Marchenko scored 21 in 56 games, quite obvious to see the next steps here.
Bemstrom and Eric Robinson, their bottom 6 players, are better than any of ours, easily too.
I wanted Kerfoot over Eller but I wouldn't have given him this.
Oh, honey... Bless your heart. We are not done. In fact we could only be barley half done. The roster is not complete. We only parted with the Vegas pick. More moves are going to come. There is no deadline like trade day.
We did not shoot ourselves today. The team can still free lots of cap space to accommodate another player or two.

Eric Robinson also had a good year last year. And plays with size. Easily more productive and useful than anyone we have in the bottom 6. Not even slightly controversial. Are you a homer Jackets fan or something? These are horrendous takes.
Eric Robinson, the 27 year old career minor leaguer who had 12 goals and 24 points last year is "easily better than any of our bottom-6 players"? Seriously
Gaudreau isn't a better offensive player than Crosby. Laine isn't as good as Malkin. The young guys for Columbus are still entirely unproven, and upside alone doesn't make them good right now.
Laine has been basically equal to Malkin's production over the past two years.Lamo no
I can understand the confusion regarding Columbus. They did just beat the Pens after selling off at the deadline, in a must-win game for the Pens if they wanted to make the playoffs. So while we're laughing, and I do think it's ridiculous to think Columbus will be ahead of the Pens in the standings, they probably aren't as much of an afterthought to this team as we'd like them to be.
What moves would have to be made to fit EK in under the cap?
