I like Halak but damn we would have the smallest goalie tandem in the league.

Guess that allows defenders to keep similar priorities in front of each netminder. Limit screens and close deflections.

Makes sense, Rangers are going to try to win and adding Miller and Trocheck would be pretty huge.

Not saying you're wrong but he's not established as that yet. Just like Chytil isn't quite yet as well. Being sheltered in the playoffs at 21 is much different than getting 2c responsibilities.

Michael Ryder is in retirement but still rumored to go to either Boston or Montreal.
 
rangers will be tied to everyone until that player signs. it is good marketing for the agents

I think I could see it, but that means Chytil is for sure a goner in a potential Miller trade and Miller is probably just a 1 year rental.

Zib-Miller-Trocheck down the middle is a very good center group. Would be among the best in the league.

Honestly Makar makes that team work. Nevermind that McKinnon and Rantanen are not just speed guys but physical. COL also had Kadri as a big piece. They had plenty of nastiness and physicality with their speed. NJD come NO WHERE near that COL model, they dont have a Makar and don't have the size and strength in their speed guys.

not sure if you're serious. Am I wrong but if we sign trocheck lets say for 5.75 and Kakko for 2.5 and Halak for 1.5 don't we have like a million dollars left under the cap?

They have no one as good as Toews on D much less Makar

I still remember the first day of free agency 2008 when we signed Patrick Rissmiller to a 3/3 contract and people here were optimistic.

He only played 2 games for us, but it felt like 100.

I no longer get excited for free agency. I sit alone, and panic.
