A bit of a problem with this idea, Jets needs are D and centre, their greatest strength is wingers. You want to take arguably their best two way D , best defensive 3C and a UFA 3 liner winger.........and offer them two wingers? I follow both teams, why would the Jets consider that?

Plus sounds like Trouba is more interested in USA teams, albeit that's unconfirmed.

I think if push came to shove and Dubas wanted to move Kapanen he’d rather do it for either an NHLer or older prospect than a draft pick

I'd be down, Especially if somebody like Broberg is still available.

Bracco can slide into the 3rd line RW spot to start next year and we can see how he does with it. If not we would have the cap space to upgrade at the deadline if need be.

That D would be exceptional. I also like the Ferland Matthews Bracco line. Bracco the playmaker that Matthews needs and Ferland the gritty, skilled, defensive minded forward that line would also require.

How about Matthew's and nylander just grow some b@!!s and actually get a back bone, earn their pay.

I could so easily see nylander gone if this keeps up. Our cap is too tight and hes making way too much for the way played all year after the hold out.

I'm still waiting for the "elite" version of Nylander we were all promised. Pro Nylanders used Pasta as a fair comparable, does anyone think Nylander will ever throw hits like Pasta did last night? Pasta's a true elite player, Nylander's a elite non contact shinny player, that's about it.

I'd say McDavid is probably the only one I would do Matthews for...maybe Barkov+.

That aside though....I am having a hard time seeing a RHD I would do a deal for.

Carlo and Cernak were probably 2 I saw as possibilities but obviously no deal there. Maybe Joker from Chicago.

Hits don’t make a player elite....

Nylander’s got two points in two playoff games, Pasta only happens to have one assist. Nylander outplayed him the first game, while Pasta had the edge last night. There’s hardly been a huge gap between them this series

Come on, it is clear Pasta is the better player at this point in time. He was also physical last night to the point where I would have killed him myself. He also did not pull a boner at a critical point in the game.

The poster that I originally replied to was suggesting Pasta was performing at an elite level this series while Nylander had not; i was pointing out that wasn’t the case. Which was true.
