I don't think Dermott is quite at the level of those other RFA's plus Ekholm was better than Dermott is now when he signed. With Rielly, Sandin,Liljegren looking like 3 of the top 4 in the future, if he wants to stick around that's about where he has to be.
If Dermott wants higher than 4 he'll be moved unless he has a ridiculous year in the top 4 next year.

As a Leaf fan, that deal is so awful....we can all think what we want of Kadri right now but if Faulk was the best offer, I would wait.

Willie is ahead of Pasta will wise and physically.
With Kadri being suspended now 5 times, all head shots, does this lessen his trade value? I think it probably does. This is 2 years in a now where he’s hurt the leafs chances of moving on to the 2nd rd so maybe they need explore moving on from him though.

On equal term it's a fair 1 for 1, comes down to what two years are worth.
To me the + some combo of a pick (15 or 36), Wallmark, a good prospect (not Necas or Bean level)

Kadri for Faksa+ would be something I would have an interest in. Faksa is an awesome 3C, Kadri is more effective at 2C and we'd need something to make up the difference.
Several Dallas fans were interested around the deadline, but that was before the Zuccarello deal depleted their picks. You'd think would have to be pure prospect adds. They do have some interesting ones in Damiani,Ericksson, Back, Mascherin, (Dellandrea seems like a stretch)

Ericksson seemed like the best fit.
I'd love to dump Zaitsev...Capfriendly I had done Kadri+Zaitsev for Faksa+Comeau (they were hating on him but he plays a playoff style game). I've liked Z with Muzzin quite a bit...but Muzzin likely only around another year.
