I am certain John is the only star of the bunch, but how do the other 17 feel if they completely cave to him? I know this will be brushed aside by many, but could be a consideration.

Of course, John did say something to the effect on that podcast with Gold that it wasn't just financials he was worried about in a strange time like this. Not much in the way of specifics to that end, but is there something with the national gig? Does he not mind less as long as it's guaranteed and not tied to fans? Is there some sort of issue of respect? Was that not completely true? Who knows?

He did mention there were back and forths recently with both Dundon and Waddell with him/his agent and that the Canes wanted a few days to consider something. Also didn't sound super optimistic.

He is running this business like a business. Employees earn more money when you get bonuses based on business performance. Heck he wanted treat the GM like a standard employee.

if he wishes to run it like a standard business he has the right. He hasn’t cared if people didn’t like it before and I don’t think he’ll care now.

if John wishes for more guarantee and TD doesn’t want to treat employees different then John can walk.

Of course he has the right to run it however he wants.

But having the right to do it a certain way doesn’t entitle him to public support for it. Not caring what people think is a dangerous game when public support is the foundation of the business.

once you realize that basically everything that someone famous posts on social media has a clear intent, you start to realize what tripp was doing with that series of tweets. stick the emotional broom handle in the hornets nest and starting beating shit around. see if a contract shakes out

Yeah, I don't think that statement is as true as you think it is. There are lots and lots of dumb famous people.

... who often hand their social media accounts over for a social media "professional" to take care of, some of whom also can be dumb.

Or at least I have seen this explanation given afterwards for some tweets that turned out to be unadvised.

But, as seen by recent headlines on Ben Affleck, the celebs seem to have secondary private social media accounts with pseudonym for private life purposes. Which suggests that the primary account may have a considerable business purpose to it. Probably varies case by case.

so business in the front, party in the back?

this much is true regarding dumb famous people, but it doesn't seem like something tripp would normally do to express that kind of sentiment with the timing consideration of it still being unresolved rather than just calling him and telling him those things. not that everything is some meta game strategy, but the savvy ones do use it to swing public perception. as much as we laugh at the canned goofball he plays on television (with admittedly a very large helping of who he actually is) he has handled his career and public persona as well as anyone.

any Idea who will be besides Tripp for the radio call?I'm guess Mike Maniscalco or Shaya..(apologies if I misspelled either of these names)
