In all sincerity I would bet Perry took time off to deal with this personal issue that he didn’t elaborate on and without the consent of the front office, which got them mad. Just a guess based on the statements of both sides.

It's going to be really disappointing if he did something terrible to someone.

If it's substances, whatever, I really don't care about that. If he hurt someone though, besides the more important fact that someone got hurt, he will also deservedly never be welcomed back here and he'll have lost his shot at the hall of fame. We'll see, it'll come out eventually.

And what if it is sexual harassment?

ya I doubt we touch him, granted he’s be a better fit than 60% of our forwards

Unless whatever it is comes out and isn’t that bad, but I suspect it’s not good

Except for the fact that he was bought out here because BM thought he was a bad influence on the young guys. Take that for whatever it's worth.
is that true? never heard that before. i don't think perry's ever been the partying, stay out until 4 AM on game days type so i don't see how he'd be a bad influence on younger players. unless the FO felt like perry was mailing it in during his last season here but i think his poor play was due to injuries more than anything

I read it around here back then. It wasn't headline news but it was more like he wasn't working very hard to comeback from injury kind of thing. Knowing BM's history, who knows.

i think it was time for the ducks and perry to go their own way regardless, but i wouldn't be surprised at all if the FO thought he was mailing it in during his last season here and not putting 100% into getting healthy. he needed a change of scenery bad and his performance since then proves that

I agree with your take. I think the Ducks were heading in the wrong direction and whatever Perry had left to give was more valuable to a cup contender than a team starting a rebuild. I also wouldn't at all be surprised if CP was mailing it in during that time.

Kyle Davidson presser at the top of the hour. You would think he’s probably gonna have to address it, even vaguely
I got dollars to donuts he says nothing of substance but pats the Hawks management on the back for being on top of such a serious situation.

Anybody got a link to who might be carrying the presser live? Video or audio?

The speculation is WILD. Its also highly possible that due to the recent issues the Blackhawks have gone through, they are super sensitive to anything that could even be perceived as inappropriate. Hoping for the best but getting waived and contract terminated is pretty severe.

And uncommon. It has to be pretty clear breach to terminate a contract.

If it's minor, bring him home. Hope he's not used for "good" PR for the Blackhawks...
