Happy retirement, Frenchy.
i never understood why we let him go.
Funny, I didn't even remember him being on the team lol. Almost 10 years ago.I could have sworn he was with the Ducks for longer than just a season.
Think he was one of those guys that was gonna go to arbitration so BM either non-tendered him or traded him, can't remember which. Was sort of stupid how he dealt with that situation multiple times.
thankfully no. can't believe how awful those two players we got in return for Rakell ended up being.he was terrible
is simon still on the team?
Rakell was traded for a 2nd round pick and a goalie prospect. Ignore the NHL roster players thrown in.thankfully no. can't believe how awful those two players we got in return for Rakell ended up being.

Literal definition of dead weight in a hockey playerthankfully no. can't believe how awful those two players we got in return for Rakell ended up being.
Murray didn't even qualify him,so he lost Perrault for nothing. Another example of (not) great asset management by Murray. It was a mistake. He was a fine player. Happy retirement!
Antoine Morand has signed a contract with Finnish team Saipa. They are expecting him to be a top 6 center. Morand had a contract with German team Augsburg but the contract was terminated a week ago. Will be interesting to see how he performs in Finnish league. Saipa is a very meh team, they don't make the playoffs often. However, this is a good opportunity for Morand because he should get a lot minutes, which could lead to bigger contracts in Finland or somewhere else.
BTW I just found out that Mason McTavish's father Dale played for Saipa in 1997-1999 and 2010-2011. It was actually his final team when he ended his career in 2011. Also, former Anaheim draftee Brian Salcido played for Saipa 181 games scoring 101 points, which is great for a defenseman.
