Jones has been an absolute warrior this season and earned a contract extension. All I can think about is what he’d do with some legit weapons.

Before the season started one of the Giants beat writers talked about how respected Jones was in the locker room. I totally see why. Just listen to the way Saquan Barkley talked about him after the game. He’d run through a wall for him.

I don’t expect much in the playoffs, but this coaching staff and QB deserve all the credit in the world.

In a 2-possession game, where the running game had been holding its own, Lafleur only called 4 rushing plays in the entire second half (3 of which were predictable 1st down runs).

While I attribute the loss more to Lafleur than White, White's record as a starter is now down to 2-5. In the 5 losses, he has thrown 1 touchdown and TEN interceptions. The talk about Mike White as the future at QB should be completely dead at this point.

2023/2024 season plan: Go OL, run stuffer, and project QB in rounds 1-3 (no particular order--best available from that group). Sign a solid vet QB (maybe Garoppolo, maybe Geno) and a good safety in UFA. Draft or sign a new punter. Fire Lafleur and possibly Boyer and replace them with veteran coaches (particularly at OC--I want someone who can take over for Saleh mid season if Saleh can't get the team going). Inform Saleh and Ulbrich that their seats are officially hot. Bring in a specialist to work with Wilson and the new project QB. Inform Wilson that he should expect to hold a clipboard and learn for at least one season. If he has a problem with that, move him. The new project QB is there to push him/replace him if he can't improve.

To be fair, they did beat Green Bay, and they currently have a bottom 5 defense (should have had the W against Detroit, too). The only shitty defense they dominated were the Bears, though.
should have had the W against Minnesota, too, who were giving up over 260 yards in the air per game when we played them. MLF needs to go asap. guy seems like he doesn't like calling plays that cater to his QBs strengths

And just to point out--Seattle has the 28th ranked defense in the NFL this year. Only four worse defenses. Any Mike White die hards ready to consider that Lafleur is a big part of the problem yet?

White is not the answer. Wilson is not the answer. The QB that this team needs is currently not on the roster.

Really difficult to overcome injuries when you aren't established at the QB position. LAC has dealt with their fair share of injuries this year, but they have a cyborg in Herbert. Can weather the injury storm. Jets have much less room for error. Jets haven't had a QB with 4,000 passing yards since 1967. In other words, the last time the NY Jets had a 4,000 yard passer, Lyndon Johnson was President, there were 490,000 US soldiers in Vietnam, and the NYR leading point scorer was Jean Ratelle.

JD needs to figure out this OL. AVT coming back will help. NYJ are stuck with Tomlinson. McGovern is a FA. Fant is a FA. Brown signed a 2 year deal. What's he doing next year? He's 38 in August. Can cut him post 6/1 with minimal dead money and about 10M in cap savings. Maybe he gets his shoulder fixed and his play can improve. With his injury history, Becton really shouldn't be relied on for much. If he comes back and plays well, great. The expectations (and subsequent roster moves) should prepare for the worst there. I know Saleh said his LT playing days aren't over, but I'm not going into next year relying on that dude to play a full season. No way. Mitchell hopefully will be good to go next year.

NYJ currently have the #13 pick in the draft. Can rise to a top 10 pick depending on what goes down in Week 18. JD is going to need 3 starters out of this upcoming draft. He has to draft well. Need OL, S, DT, LB, etc. QB obviously as well, but that's likely not coming via the draft.

Jets would need to create cap room for any significant QB addition. Cutting Davis and Lawson creates 25.5M in cap space. Perhaps they can work on Mosley's contract to lower the cap hit there. Jets are going into the offseason with 15M in cap space currently. Going to need 12-15M to sign draft picks. Quinnen Williams is a FA after next season. Need to prioritize getting him locked up.

Getting Hall back will help. Getting AVT back will help. But there's a lot left to do to improve this team. Embarrassing finish to a season with a promising start. Someone is going to need to take the fall for this horrific second half performance.

Feeling sick right now just reading that tweet, lol. Life of a Jets fan.
As an outsider you guys should not wait long. You already have a playoff caliber defense and good WR. I do not think I would waste time developing a QB because that stuff can change in 2 years. You fix your Oline and get David Carr and you will be in business next season.

What the heck happened. I was channel surfing and saw the ambulance on the field and players on both sides looking emotional.

This reminds me of Cherepanov. Obviously seems they were more equipped to handle the situation here.

Sports like football and hockey are unfortunately not long for this modern society. Significant changes are going to be made if this young man dies.
