The Barkley guarantee is not that much higher than what Joe Schoen offered last season but with 1 more year of mileage on him I'm a bit surprised that the Eagles went so high. I would not mind if the Giants signed Swift now at a lower rate. Everything is relative. RB's are not getting paid much more than backup QB's these days. I think they are underpaid.

As an Eagles fan I hate this signing. Nothing personal with Saquan, I wouldn't want to give any RB that much.

Swift already signed in Chicago btw

I saw Chicago signed Swift today.

Although I've lived in ATL since 2017 I've never watched a Falcons game. (My son and I go to one Hawks game a year to see the road team). Now at least if the Falcons play a team I like I may be able to see some decent passing from ATL. In the regular season Kirk's not that bad.

Ryan put up huge numbers here and may be a borderline HoFer.

The Packers released a few players today. The Jets GM Aaron Rodgers ...
Agreed. Rodgers is overrated. He's won as many conference titles as Rex Grossman, one. He doesn't like to throw more than 20 yards, because 1 SB and regular season stats are all he has. Although he will be, he shouldn't be a first ballot HoFer with only one conference title.

Trying not to react as emotionally to the Saquon signing as I want to.

He got his bag, I guess, so good for him.

I would have hated if Schoen signed that contract. I hated this pick from day 1. Today is hopefully one of the last painful days we will have to go to thanks to the ultimate assclown Dave Gettleman.

Knowing that the Giants offered him a multi year deal at $13M. And knowing that he is the 4th highest amongst active RBs in career earnings. Makes SB's crying about being underpaid ring pretty damn hollow.

Break a leg Saquon!

As a side note, would be really nice if the teams I am a fan of figured out how to exploit / work within the salary cap the way others are capable of.

NYG and NYR are so bad in this aspect.

As a fan I was ready to move on from Saquon. Jones is next up next year. Adios. Redo the offense completely.

It feels like Schoen is actually going through an actual rebuild this year after the mirage of the first season with Daboll. They were kinda victims of their own success and good coaching hid a lot of real deficiencies.

I would’ve liked to have kept McKinney, but it’s clear they put a value on positions and stick to it.

I like McDonald and you can argue Huff is a rotational player but two things bother me from Saleh:

1) they are supposed to come at you in waves…now we have JJ and unproven McDonald. JFM and Clemons are too big/slow for wide 9.
2) they talked up Q and resigning their own players to a second contract. Now we have a homegrown UDFA, who honestly can play more than on pass rush downs only, and we let him walk away.

Henry and Ekeler are the 2 best FA RBs left.

Rodgers is a polarizing figure, but let's not get it twisted. He is a first ballot HOF.
