NY cooks will add bodily fluids to his food.

No. It is definitely sincere. Look, the kid has never faced any real failure like this in his life. And everyone who has worked with him or met him has come out speaking volumes about his character and drive.

The idea that he isn't sincere with this is absurd to me knowing everything that's been said from people who know him.
Maybe he’s sincere and maybe he isn’t. The day that statement came out, it was only a matter of time until you got the apology. I’m sure his agent and the team reached out immediately and went into damage control mode.

“The idea that he isn’t sincere is absurd.” Look, maybe he is, and maybe he isn’t. However, the comments out of ones mouth not being the sincere part being absurd… is absurd.

Either way, keep your mouth shut and play better. If he does, all will be forgotten. His comments were stupid and a total turn off, but I hate fake outrage more than anything.

Hot take but he’s mostly right with his comments. Though it’s obviously a dumb thing to say publicly.

Fans don’t know shit about pro sports and the details of it. They’re also mostly drunk, especially at MetLife. 70% of the stadium is hammered yelling shit and then everyone wants to pull the “hot DARE he not respect me ! I pay his salary!” Card.

Do I feel bad for players? No. I don’t really think fans have any respect for them, in that everyone thinks bc they’re paid well and ticket prices are expensive fans have a right to behave anyway they want. Which is dumb. It’s not a sob story for the players. But fans are a deluded bunch.

This is not 1963, even if fans don't know football there are tons of experts that have analyzed Neal's game and said he has sucked.

Oh, 100% agree that he never should've said this. I think Barkley addressed it pretty well:

But he's still human.

But he's still human.

And only 23. And a football player jock. And a multimillionaire. He's young, rich, and probably not too smart. And he's failing miserably at his job. Not sure what exactly people are expecting here.

Letting those comments out publicly was dumb, especially with how bad he's played, but people getting so outraged about it.... shrug... There's gotta be more important things in life worth your emotional energy.

100%

Were his comments dumb? Yes. Is it a bit of a turn off? Sure.

Do I really care or am I wildly offended? No. I really don’t care.

I watched Don Lagrecca. The first 30-60 seconds I was thinking that he’s absolutely right. The next 25 minutes of red faced screaming was sanctimonious BS.

To be frank, Neal's comments were spoken like an asshole. I don't really care that much that he's saying stuff about the fans from a perspective of not knowing the finer details of the sport. It's probably true that 99% of them don't know anything. I wouldn't say it in his position, but it doesn't bother me. I'd read it, maybe stew for a minute, and forget about it. But the way he went about it, degrading low wage jobs like his shit doesn't stink, is such a terrible look. Poor people are grinding and working through those jobs just to get by, which is harder and more taxing than playing a sport. I lost a lot of respect for the guy, not that he cares, I'm just a fan, but I imagine a lot feel that way and he's probably going to hear about it for a while.

I won't disagree with you that he sounded like an asshole in degrading poor people's jobs. But you don't have to make ridiculous claims like being someone that cooks burgers at McDonald's is harder and more taxing than being a professional football player. C'mon man.

Moving Vera-Tucker to RT is the play. Guy is so solid.

Jets should be able to run the ball all day tomorrow against Denver, surprised to see the ML at +114

Complaining about fans booing a struggling team - we give players a hard time about it then usually forget about it (lindor) but sometimes not (baez). To be honest his comments about burger flippers should have been condemned by the Giants immediately since those burger flippers are the guys working concessions. I'd bet the vast majority of ticketholders aren't burger flippers.
