Neck injury for Jones.

This shit is so bleak lmao
If it's a stinger like David Wilson or an injury like the wrestler Steve Austin had in 1997, there's a good chance he's done for good.

The strength and conditioning, OLine, and Special Teams coaches are going to be the ones who pay the price.

They're not going to fire Daboll after year two of an expected regression season.

Man, I thought they'd regress a bit because of the hard schedule and their record in one score games unlikely to be replicated but didn't see them being non-competitive as much as they have been. Daboll and Schoen are safe but they are about to lose any good will built up in a New York minute.

For sure. I expected a step back record wise and honestly was okay with that all things considered.

But this is unbelievable. Outside of the 2nd half of the cardinals win, these games aren’t even competitive. The offense genuinely looks as bad as when Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm played half a season.

Wherever the keg is!
Hope the O-line somewhat gets better by next year. Definitely healthier.

Start adding legit offensive weapons (QB, WR, TE, RB) in this year's draft.

Not blaming all ills on Jones (Not in the slightest) but the guy hasn't shown me he can sling the ball downfield, his reads are abysmal, he can't adjust for shit.

Move on from Barkley next season. Move on from Jones the season after that.

Glad the Jets won.

My only connection to game at this point is Brandon Perna (Broncos YTer/That's good sports) and his awesome commentary and content/pain.

Schoen went with the quantity over quality approach and its biting them in the ass. You have Robinson and Shepard who can't stay healthy for more than two weeks at a time and you also bring in another slot receiver in Parris Campbell when you just drafted a slot receiver in Jaylin Hyatt, just makes no sense to me. Darius Slayton and Hodgins were one off flashes in the pan. They desperately need a #1 guy like Plaxico. I'd be all over Justin Jefferson next offseason. Move on from Barkley and restructure money elsewhere and it's doable. The offseason is an abject failure if they don't add him and he'd be willing to come here. Full stop.

Keep building the O line and secondary through the draft. The front 7 on defense isn't actually too bad for once.

The offense is absolutely embarrassing. It needs open heart surgery.

My prediction for NYG remaining schedule:
@Buf (L)
WSH (W?)
NYJ (L)
@LV (W?)
@Dal (L)
@Wash (L)
NE (W?)
GB (L)
@No (L)
@Phi (L)
LA (L)
Phi (L)

Will 3-4 wins be enough to outstink Carolina (Chi) for Caleb Williams??? Doubtful.

My fear - one of Car/Chi/Den will win 2 games at most and lock up #1OA. Meanwhile, we'll beat NE in a battle of meaningless proportions, allowing NE to then draft Drake Maye with one of the picks immediately preceding the Giants.

My guess is the Giants end up going WR or Edge with our first-rounder and then the best guard available in the 2nd. Possibly trading into the late 1st if there's an OG that's slipping. Although the dark horse option would be if one of the top CBs falls, to grab him and let Adoree walk.

Very curious whether the franchise will be willing to give up on a #7OA pick after 2 seasons and try to replace Neal at RT. If so, I think they'll opt for a vet FA, hoping for 1-2 years of short-term stability over a longer-term fit. I don't think the franchise can afford to spend another top-10 pick on a RT.

4-13.

They'll split against Washington and win two more games that we won't expect.

I don't think Chicago or Carolina move on from Fields or Young. NYG will be in a prime position to land Williams or Maye.

Chicago owns Carolina's first this year. They'll be in the same position they were earlier this year deciding what to do with Fields.

NE, Denver, Vegas, Arizona will all be fighting for one of those QBs.

Chicago needs everything. I'd take the best pass rush prospect available with one pick and trade 1st overall if they get it between one of their picks to a team that wants Williams or Maye for a haul.

I'd keep Fields if I were them.

i cant possibly get excited about that win.

Denver are dogshit and the Jets barely squeaked by them and sitll couldn't get the pass game going.

Eagles are gonna murder them.

Football is stupid, it’s basically just hoping for injury luck.
It really is. There are 5 or 6 teams that can win it all any given year, it just comes down to who can stay the healthiest.

Except for a wild card seeded Giants team playing on the road all playoffs. All bets are off with those guys.

I won't disagree with you that he sounded like an asshole in degrading poor people's jobs. But you don't have to make ridiculous claims like being someone that cooks burgers at McDonald's is harder and more taxing than being a professional football player. C'mon man.
He was an asshole. Are you or I flipping burgers? Probably not. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with it, but most of us have careers. The narrative is there’s some 58 year old who’s been flipping for 30 years. I have yet to meet that guy. It’s a bad look to make that statement, but I wouldn’t give it more than a minute or two of thought. I am a Jet fan but I hope he figures things out and becomes an all pro or at least serviceable.

Correct, most burger flippers are like 16 years old. This is like when minimum wage is measured as a poverty wage rather than a young person wage. But I think it was more of the attitude towards jobs that aren't his, in particular less than glamorous jobs that don't pay well. Most people's jobs are easier and not as well paid as Neal's. But I also don't know if Neal ever wanted to become an accountant if he'd be able to do it. Even if he had the training. Maybe, maybe not.

Edit: I looked up Neal's wonderlic score and provided it was correct it was 16. That's 16 out of 50. I'm not a genius but the questions on a wonderlic test are incredibly basic (I've seen enough sample tests). I took a sample test and got a 41. I don't even think that's amazing. Most people I know would score in the 40s. They don't make as much as Neal, but I guarantee you if his wonderlic is really 16 most people I know are smarter or at the very least more knowledgeable than him. He shouldn't be looking down on anyone.

I know I'm a boring old curmudgeon, but I enjoy Deion Sanders losing. I hated him as a player and I hate him as a coach (I don't hate him as a person, I just don't like the "persona"). I remember being younger and seeing the Cowboys play the Giants at Giants Stadium. I don't remember if it was an INT or a reception or what but Deion was taking it to the house and then did his high stepping thing and a Giants player busted his ass and caught up with him and tackled him from behind. Forced and recovered a fumble. The way the crowd gave it to Deion was awesome. I wasn't rooting for either team and at the time but I loved that.
