The former MVP was one that was on my mind as well.Steve McNair crushed it on noted Top 25 program Alcorn State.

Because I have to deal with silly comments like these. The "Top 25" was not etched in stone at Mount Sinai. But google says Texas Tech is not top 25 yet they produced patrick mahomes while Alabama, USC, and Ohio State are perennial top 25 teams yet who were the last great QBs produced by them?Trey Lance started 17 games at N. Dakota State. Zach Wilson started 28 games at BYU. The top 25 is the top 25. Google is your friend. I've never seen a positive post from you. Why are you so miserable?
would SF do a swap w/small add? When Wilson and Lance were drafted I wrote "Neither has started for 2 years at a top 25 program and both have have zero chance of success".
9ers + Lions are my adopted nfc teamsGonna be interesting to see what happens with Lance. As a Niners fan to see Purdy succeed was quite a surprise. I was shattered when he got hurt but I hope he recovers fully and gets back to playing like before.
That is an interesting swap with SF but I have no idea of their view on either guy so no idea if SF would do it. The Jets probably would.would SF do a swap w/small add?
9ers get the add and a young QB w/similar physicals and but needs to overcome reaction at NFL level, which hopefully can be learned
NYJ get take 2, fresh start

I am hoping we get a good OT
and
if possible, would deal both 2nd rounders + to move up and get another OT
more than ANYTHING else that is what Jets need....
Not totally awful but a bit pricy. The key to me is if he plays 65% of the plays which he likely will.So the jets caved about a claw back if rodgers retires after this year. We better win the SB. Bc if we dont and he retires after 1 year it was an awful trade
Condition should have been on 2024 snaps. Not totally awful but a bit pricy. The key to me is if he plays 65% of the plays which he likely will.
So it becomes a:
2023 1st round pick swap (only move down 2 spots #13 to #15)
2023 2nd round pick #42
2023 6th round pick #207
2024 1st (if AR plays 65% of downs)
For
Rodgers
2023 5th #170
Basically its Rodgers for a 2023 2nd round pick and a 2024 1st round pick.
They may have tried for that but GB said no. I think GB did pretty good but neither team got a total steal.Over under on preseason snaps taken by rodgers?

I mean we have 15OA, and another 2nd this year. Plus considering the actual offensive weapons he now has, I can imagine he'd be alot happier. Plus hard to see him walking away from a significant amount of money the next few years. So the jets caved about a claw back if rodgers retires after this year. We better win the SB. Bc if we dont and he retires after 1 year it was an awful trade
I don't know about the cap details. I think that makes or breaks the deal for both teamsThey may have tried for that but GB said no. I think GB did pretty good but neither team got a total steal.

I think he wasn't expecting this - at ties he looked like he wanted to cry. This was from a month ago.
This is from today - will be interesting to watch.
That can't possibly be right. Two years ago the 49ers traded the 12th overall pick plus 2 additional first rounders for 3rd overall. Valuewise the Jets traded a little more than 2 2nds for Rodgers - maybe 2 2nds and a 3rd. That comes no where near the value of a top 10 pick IMO.A draft pick scoring system says the Jets paid the equivalent of the #3 pick overall for Rodgers. That scoring system is not perfect. It did not account for it being a future pick but lets say it was the equivalent of the #9 overall. If the Jets make the Superbowl then I would say it was a good trade. If the Jets do not make the Superbowl then there will be questions.
