Zero points in four games from the second line is f***ing unacceptable. I get that they're in it for the long run, but that shit is just absolutely not sustainable. Nuke is one of the best two-way wingers in the game, but even he cannot carry that much dead weight.

Encouraging that the Avs turned it around halfway through that game. I thought the Nuke-Compher-Kaut line looked particularly good the second half of the game. I hope they give that line a few more games to see how it goes.

Georgiev has been fine lol, the team in front of him has been insanely lazy defensively.
Newhook needs moved to wing asap… his confidence is shattered. Avs need to simplify the game for him and just let him play without worrying about a mistake. Can circle back around to center in 10 or so games when he’s playing solid hockey again

Why not try ERod at center? That's where he had the most success last year.

Just got in and saw the score. Was it a fun game to watch? I don't mind watching a game I've already seen the final for as long as it's entertaining. Give it a go and have fun or wait for the condensed version to hit in a couple of hours?

Ugh. I guess we should be happy we got a point after the shit start, but it feels like a wasted come back. I don't know why Bednar always has to hammer in MacK and Rants for OT. Those two have never been good in OT together and never will. Last year Nuke and MacK had great chemistry in OT. I don't know why he wouldn't just go back to that.

Don't watch the first or OT and it'll be a medium to good time.
Well, Avs overcome an absolutely atrocious first period and fight their way back into the game. Even after they got back on track there were still some pretty awful mistakes made. The sloppy play (and horrendous penalty killing) continues, though I didn't think they were by any means terrible in the 2nd and 3rd.
Give the Jets credit--I don't particularly care for Bones as a head coach but if there's a guy in the NHL who can teach a team how to play defense, it's him. They got sticks in lanes, collapsed on puck carriers, and did all manner of things they never did under Maurice.

It’s dumb and can be frustrating but a part of me also kinda appreciates the Avs OT mentality. Other teams slow it down, get all tactical, look for a perfect shot, and make it boring. Then there’s the Avs who are like “**** it” and just fly down the ice and take random shots and whatever happens happens.
Should be an option, but he’s not going to be a plus center on any line outside the 4th. I’d go MacK-Rants-Compher-ERod and work on getting 4 lines going.
