I'm actually less confident he's a healthy scratch on Saturday since he's already been sat for the better part of the third period tonight. Especially being a vet that, and being put publicly on blast was his punishment.

So to the guys who are OK with the great play and the loss, do you get upset when they play bad and win?

I would say definitely good odds he's a healthy scratch Saturday

And good odds might only be 40%-50%, but if you asked me a week ago what are the odds Severson is a healthy scratch in a week, I would say the odds were less than 5%.

They won't scratch him nor should they. As much as we shit on Damon for that play, why did the coaches play him and Dougie a shift in a tied game? They deserve blame for that as well, basically playing the same type of dman and not to mention the same handiness.

I think he's made his point. Now it's up to Severson to be better next game.

for one game here or there? Definitely not. And its not so much 'getting upset'....its just unsustainable to play poorly and continue to win just as it is to play well and continue to lose. Law of averages.

Plus, with how the team played for 2 months, they get some leeway with me.

I actually get a more "concerned" / imposter vibes when we play horribly and win. It's like the "we won" feeling without the "we played good" feeling. Tonight is like reversed for me. But if it's only one game, it's not too worrisome.

Good points about the late game benching maybe being an indicator that he's not a scratch on Saturday

But didn't we bench somebody last year for much of the game and he ended up being a healthy scratch the next game? I can't remember who it was.

I do remember Severson actually being benched, I think it was even this season after some play led directly to a goal against. I don't think he was benched the rest of the game, but he certainly was for about a period.

So Holtz and Zetterlund are NHL finishers? 10 goals in 57 NHL games is good enough for you to make that call?

See, that's the thing, I know it's not magic. It's very hard to do but guys who can do it are valuable. This team could use one of those guys.

You've got to be trolling. Holtz was literally drafted 7OA for his finishing. He has 28 goals in 55 AHL games and Fabian has shown plenty of finishing ability.

Nobody in the league can score at will, not even McDavid. No one can save you from being goalied. The team has shown that it has plenty of finishing ability.

Upset no but it certainly adds more fuel to the fire after they play a couple of other mediocre games they lose in. That's when people start mocking you when you point out but they haven't played well for longer than just the losing streak.

Lol, no one's saying that. Who wants to see their team loses but it's not sustainable to constantly cave teams and lose, we're actually getting goaltending this year too.
Goaltending has been average. Schmid's been real good analytically, but Vanecek has been mediocre and Blackwood flat out bad.

But fully agree with your main point that we're more than fine if we continue to cave teams in

Vanecek before the last week was pretty good but yeah this week has done a number on his stats.
