I do laugh for a few years there when they were shoving Hayes down the fanbases’ throat at every turn & how great of a guy he was. Fast forward to now where he’s the devil & is being blamed for something when he’s not even here anymore.
I’m not even saying it’s necessarily wrong but it’s funny nonetheless.
Whose life’s work is seeing how much people will pay to stay alive. That's a grown man who is in some measure in charge of a billion-dollar operation. That's where we are.
Michkov refused to talk to the Coyotes, is he a big baby for that?
Jonesy and Briere got out ahead of this. It could've been a major, major, MAJOR disaster. Don't get me wrong: it's bad...but they made lemonade of a bad situation. They somehow kept it quiet that Cutter didn't want to sign here, kept leverage in a deal
Of course but his value was probably never going to be higher than now. Drysdale is risky but he isn’t available if he isn’t risky and the Ducks don’t have the logjam of defensemen waiting in the wings. Lots of fans in the pacific saying Drysdale is good. It’s worth it IMO to take the risk for a potentially top pairing defenseman. That is the type of player that helps more once Michkov comes over and whoever else graduates and whoever we draft this year. I liked Gauthier but I thought he was more of the elite passenger type and triggerman. We don’t know what other offers were out there if the 5th overall from MTL was turned down. The Flyers got an intriguing player back with a higher ceiling which fits this team’s needs and age group. It could have been much worseIf Briere knew years before Cutter went to free agency he wasn't going to sign here, and Cutter walked anyway, how incompetent does that make the GM?
A couple of things here. If Hayes bad mouthed the Flyers in order to convince Gauthier to not come to Philly he is one of the biggest pieces of **** to ever put on skates.
The worst thing you can ever do is disrespect the Flyers.Just when I thought this organization couldn't get any more amateur hour, they invite the coach and CEO of Spectacor on the broadcast to trash a college kid who didn't want to sign with the team. It really is theatre.
This is unhinged. Why would they publicly question Kevin’s drug use?!
Why the hell would the Flyers organization say a single negative word anyway? The Flyers somehow did Hayes a favor there and they should get his undying loyalty because of it?Hayes has to my knowledge only criticized the team for hockey reasons. So how is his brother’s death & the Flyers handling of it relevant here?
What am I missingPlacing all of the blame on Kevin Hayes (the guy out the door) is textbook Flyers.
Rumors that Hayes had Gauthier’s ear and that’s why he didn’t want to sign here so the propaganda machine is throwing the blame on Hayes instead of looking in the mirror. What am I missing
Well to be fair, It’s easy to say you’re right about everything so as long as the team doesn’t win the Stanley cup lol… Not even saying I disagree with half of the posts on here, I very rarely post on here bc it’s a dead forum that I solely check for blockbuster/big moves for entertainment purposes. I didn’t like the idea of Danny as GM at first and posted that it screamed of the old boys club.
But that is entirely separate from posting on this forum multiple times daily complaining about any and every move the team makes. A 19 year old kid who has never touched a sheet of NHL ice decides he doesn’t want to play here which okay, you guys can say it’s his right and that’s true. What you don’t do is ignore a team you told you were born to play for when they drafted you without any communication as to your thought process etc… I just think it’s wild that the first reaction as people who follow the ins and outs of this team and make it a part of their daily life/personality is to take the side of anyone else who is against the team. You can dislike the direction of the team without actively rooting against them. If manifestation was in fact a real thing, the flyers would never win a cup solely because of people with that attitude completely shitting on every single thing they do. Losing cutter hurts, but that doesn’t mean it should be assumed it was all the flyers fault and he’s some prophet that saw the next 3 years of our future and got out while he could like some people are making it out to be. It’s just as likely that the kid actually is an entitled lazy brat, it’s not that outlandish of a possibility.
Hayes has to my knowledge only criticized the team for hockey reasons. So how is his brother’s death & the Flyers handling of it relevant here?
What an awful and inaccurate post this is. I'm sure the majority of posters are miserable adults. That's how it is on this board. Bunch of miserable kids hating on the team night after night staring at their phones in their bedrooms.
Maybe Hayes should have more players' earsRumors that Hayes had Gauthier’s ear and that’s why he didn’t want to sign here so the propaganda machine is throwing the blame on Hayes instead of looking in the mirror.
