At least Quebec turned Lindros in Forsberg, Ricci and a Stanley Cup just 4 years later.

We got Drysdale and a 2nd. Oh joy.
And a guy named PATRICK ROY who went to Colorado, something that never would have happened had the franchise not relocated. Maybe they win a Cup with Hextall or another goalie but no one close in talent to Roy would likely be tending net for Quebec.

Oh god I hadn't even considered what this means for the Frost handling.

rofl holy shit. wow.

They knew within months of the draft that Gauthier was not going to sign. They dicked Frost around as recently as LAST WEEK. They pretended Cates was a long-term middle 6 center. They pretended that Couturier coming back after 1.5 years at age 31 was feasible for a rebuild window. They didn't trade Laughton despite knowing they were desperate for more young forwards. They had Briere come out last month and say the Flyers don't need any more high picks for high end players......when they already knew Gauthier wouldn't sign! And I was smacking my forehead while thinking he was being included!

If drysdale can stay healthy he can be a really good damn for us. Really hoping he can cus I’ve liked what I’ve seen when he was healthy in Anaheim

Others wouldn't have returned gauthier...

They have young forward talent. They badly, badly need D. Drsydale is here, now, he was playing well. Probably the best performing Dman for them this year.

Like I've said...that concerns me. Ellis was also in the middle of being really good for Nashville before they gave him away. And I was assured that my worries over his health and their reasoning for doing it were bullshit. I've eaten this burrito pill before.

Loyalty is good and all but sometimes it bites you in the butt.

Loyalty to family/fiends, sure.

Loyalty to your employer? Nah, f*** outta here with that shit. Organizations dump people as soon as it makes sense for them, if you don't treat them the same way, that's a you (general, not you specifically) problem.

Duck fan coming in peace. Why did you guys trade Cutter, I’ve read something about him not being happy with the organization. This trade really come out of left field.

I hope this works out for both teams. Drysdale is so talented but has been injury prone and didn’t drive the offense. I still see him as a top pairing guy though and the Ducks may had sold low. Jaimie will definitely help your team now and in the future, whereas is put us in a longer rebuild, and we take on risk that Cutters game doesn’t translate well or slowly in the NHL.

Is Cutter a risk of not signing?

It changes more then you think to lose one of your top forward prospects in a trade for a right handed d who apparently is touted as having top pair potential. TDL, Draft, etc...

If the rumors around Walker, Seeler and Risto hold true you would need someone to play D, could afford to not take back a Defenseman in one of those trades
