Not sure how I feel about this. With the Flyers luck Cutter will be a perennial 50 goal scorer and Drysdale will be injury prone
However we needed a high end defenseman in the system and we weren’t likely to get it this year. I’m hesitantly okay with this
ETA: I now see he didn’t want to play for us. I suppose we did great in this situation to get Drysdale and an early 30’s pick. Not really a fan of Cutter after this
Maybe I've misunderstood this, but from what I can tell, he wanted to be here. They drafted him. Something changed and he didn't, then stuck to it. There was only one change.
The only specific rumor we have is that it was Tortorella. That doesn't mean it was. But it's what we currently have.
I look forward to the same exact press conference in a few years about Michkov.
“At the draft he said he wanted to be a Flyer but something changed.”
Since Briere avoided saying Gauthiers name and just said "he" or "him", there was nothing specific in the first 90 secs that can't be reused again. Up until he mentioned " Jamie" anyway.I look forward to the same exact press conference in a few years about Michkov.

Huh? He’s spot on re: shit coach and no plan.Shit coach? Organization with no plan? Ruin his future earning potential? What the F are you talking about. Go troll some other board sponsor. Ignore.
Listen, I am relieved that I don't have to listen to fans and media fawn over a winger playing center who likes to shoot the puck from the Andromeda Galaxy with pace/IQ issues. Those people will suddenly excoriate him, while I don't really care. I don't have to listen to people pretending Tortorella isn't toxic. And I don't have to listen to the Flyers touted as some sought after destination. Yay?
There's no way this was the best value long-term. They wanted a piece to add to their playoff run NOW. Even if Drysdale has talent and is young, we're talking about someone with lost development and a non-ELC. Is this a PP QB predicated move (lol)? There's a good chance they pissed away 5th overall value (multiple times).
And it leaves them with absolutely no center depth long-term. You had to squint and pretend Gauthier could be a 1C to believe in this pretend rebuild. Now? If they knew about this for a year, then it makes everything about Frost's handling -- like he was a luxury -- so much worse. That's the most likely ~2nd line (let alone top line) center under the age of 31 in the organization.
Anaheim has Mintyukov, Zellweger, Luneau that are all potential high end offensive dmen who are already playing or will be playing by the end of the year. Drysdale could end up being the best but he also managed to bring back a big piece. So they don't need high end d...it was in fact a log jam.
They traded him for the player who just lead the world juniors in points. So it's not like it didn't take a lot to pry him from Anaheim.
champagne is more expensive than anticipated and im being carded at 30 years oldSee? This alone makes this a win. Charlie, Jamey, and the rest of Flyers twitter is devastated too.
I don't drink but I might go get some champagne just to pop the cork.
Torts dirtbagged Hayes and they’re still paying for it.
13 going on 30champagne is more expensive than anticipated and im being carded at 30 years old
devastating for ya boi
Yeah, tell me one thing thats better about Southern California then Philly??!
If Cutter was in fact good friends with Hayes, then good f***ing riddance.
