Times like these are really it really grinds my gears that I cannot tweet lol

Can someone please set this f***ing nimkampoop straight?

ASF saying that Ellis has a degenerative hip condition.

So, we’re rollin’ with

Provy/DeAngelo
Sanheim/Risto
York/Attard

?

Not a fan of that “defense” at all.

As i've been saying, he's never playing again.

I would not at all be surprised if Nashville knew about this.

A 2-year, $5 million leash on a team with a pittance of alternatives looks pretty long.
It really just inserts a guy into a role, much like they thought they were doing with Erik Gustafsson Part Deux. It doesn't erase the need for a long term RHD obviously, but it also doesn't stop them from making that move at any time that it presents itself.

I think that guy means well but he’s ultimately a Stepford fan who’s easily impressed & swayed by whatever the organization does.

Yeah he definitely does mean well. I used to interact with him before I was permabanned ..but as nice as he is, he's also a total dullard.

This tweet is a perfect example..not only is it factually incorrect, it also leaves out any of the main reasons fans are angry about spendin 3 picks and extending DeAngelo (the off-ice stuff).

I hate to inject hockey into this slop fest , but I will to cleanse the +/- talk. The way Carolina used him is worth noting. @Surrounded By Ahos please correct me if I’m drawing some wrong conclusions from the data I have.

It’s not just that they sheltered him via quality of teammates and shift deployment. It looks to me like they purposely set out to have his partner responsible for puck retrievals whenever possible. It’s not that he was poor at them. They identified his warts and actively tried to remove those responsibilities. I wonder how Provorov is going to respond to being asked to do the job Slavin did for him last year because it’s brutal and thankless.
That's pretty much right on the money. He started the season on the third pair with Ian Cole, and only moved up after Ethan Bear caught Covid and was basically useless for the rest of the year. Playing with Slavin has to be an offensive defenseman's dream. Tony (and Dougie) were allowed to go hogwild with rushes and pinches, because they knew Slavin was there to erase any scoring chance coming the other way. I don't have the fancy stats in front of me, and I don't really care to look them up, but I want to say that Skjei-Pesce took a bunch of the toughest assignments, and Rod had Slavin-DeAngelo facing off against second lines.

Portnoy going after Steph Driver today because of Hayes’ statement about TDA and Driver saying basically that anyones opinion that likes “that website” (aka barstool) doesn’t matter.

jeebus, pages and pages of CRITICISM

how about giving the guy a fresh start with his new team.....in my life I needed one and it helped tremendously.
DeAngelo is a Flyer, why don't we all give him a chance ?
I’m perfectly fine giving the hockey player a chance. That doesn’t mean I’m going to cheer for him. The other stuff? He’s going to have to prove that he’s changed as a person before I consider giving him a chance on that level. It’s not like all of these things were years and years ago.

I’m also not fine with Chuck burning assets left and right to end up in the same position and have to listen to bullshit about how good of a GM he is.

i think a good portion of us are willing to give him a chance..same with Cutter..but it the cost of some of these moves that are irking us..3 picks for TDA..i am almost 100% sure they didn't even think of moving back from the 5th to acquire more picks..ultimately it is the bad management we are irked by

I want to be perfectly clear here. I don’t have to give that shitbag a chance and f*** you for thinking I do. I don’t know who said what. This is a general statement.

That doesn’t mean toss him out of society or the league. It means I think he’s a shitbag and I would love for him to prove me wrong because the world would be a slightly better place. I couldn’t get enjoyment out of the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl because Tyreek Hill is also a shitbag. If that doesn’t bother you, that’s fine. But it’s also not my problem.

Barstool is kind of trash and so is Portnoy at his core (though I do watch his One Bite reviews) but Steph is also the worst so yeah...f*** them all.

Also, this f***ing Hayes/Boston bullshit Flyers era can't end soon enough.

Big difference between giving the Racist DBag a chance and giving Cutter a chance. I want Cutter to succeed, just wouldn't have picked him at 5. No big deal there. You're also welcome to want to give DeAngelo a chance, but I have no desire or intention of doing so. He's had second chances already and once that happens, I no longer buy the "he's a better person now" bullshit.

I would be curious on what that portion size is...I for one do not want to give him a chance. I dont care how good he might be, there are bigger things out there than scoring points in a sport. He's a pos and I am absolutely disgusted they would do this...I already had skipped most of last season because the product was bad. Now the product is bad and we have a racist maga traitor on it. yay...

I’m no fan of Chuck as everyone knows. This isn’t that bad a move though. He was quiet with Carolina and kept his head down. He’s a top end RHD and he’s signed for a good price. I know it’s temping to go overboard constantly with some of you, but it’s not always necessary to criticise everything.

Chuck will find a way to burn this goodwill though.

i am not so sure it is a good price..both in term and cost to get him if people are already angry

Proof is in the pudding as usual of course but he had a really good year last year and if he carries that on it’s a good price to pay. It doesn’t really fit our window or anything, but as a hockey move it makes sense.
