Post-Game Talk: flyers @ RANGERS

All ppl beg for here are more minutes for our youth so they can develop and have opportunities to put up points. When they get the minutes and don't produce, then they're getting too many minutes and it hurts them. Can't win.

Fox isn't 'struggling' which too many minutes would imply, he's just being too cute on the PP. He rarely takes a point shot with out guys outnumbering their guys down low which is a great time to look for a tip. He always fakes the forward coming at him on the point with a juke (good) giving himself some space, and he slowly slides down to the circle looking for a cross ice pass that isn't there. The 3 remaining PKers are allowed to stay controlled and in their box. It's good he's not forcing it I guess. Then he passes or skates it behind the net wasting all the space he previously created, or he throws the puck on net from a terrible angle and it's blocked and cleared. Less holding the puck, more quick decisions once space opens up. If the passes are quick the PK has to adjust behind them and creases open, even if they're not of the cross ice variety.

I love the guy and he's amazing, needs to pick up the pace on the PP though.

It hasn’t even been a year since many of them have been diagnosed. Understanding of the disease is still evolving rapidly.

I had zero symptoms other than brain fog for a few months and my wife, who is a doctor and was treating COVID patients in the icu, needed to be taken to the emergency department randomly at 3am because suddenly collapsed due to a lack of oxygen. It affects different people in different ways. We are both in our early 30s and are in perfect health otherwise.

I do think Fox is quite a downgrade from Tony on the pp though.


I'm very unimpressed with his puck skills. he's good at short passes in his own zone but literally anywhere else I just close my eyes and pray. I think he gives the puck away a lot more than gets acknowledged cause he's "quiet" imo.

Maybe he'd look better with someone that's not Bitetto.

The Flyers still had Couturier, Hayes, Farabee, JVR, Hart, Provorov, Myers, Sanheim. That’s 3/5 their top-scorers, #1C, #2C, #1D, and #1G.

I shut it off. Putting him in front of the mic is fine (for obvious reasons) but, putting him in front of the mic is NOT fine (for obvious reasons)

They simply shouldnt do it though. NOT good TV, and gives said player an excuse "not to" learn the language. IMO

First part not sarcastic, second part about weakman excuse completely was. Covid is real and I'm tired of ppl brushing it off because it's inconvenient to their agendas. In retrospect the post was poorly written, it comes out clearer if it were spoken so I get missing the point, so my bad.

Whatever though, you do you.

I’m usually very optimistic and positive as you guys know but got no enjoyment out of that win. Am I way off with this feeling?

A little surprised at you for saying that my man. Maybe I am super old fashioned, and yes.....that game was not a work of art. But, a win is a win is a win. And people here are complaining that those 2 pts sucked. Wow.
Are those the people that want us to tank, and giving up all hope? Wow, not me.
Kakko coming along nicely now, and Laf soon to follow. k'Andre is the most amazing surprise. Some things obviously need to be rectfied. But nobody can tell me that we wouldnt be better than last year, and won't make the PO's if Mika wasnt struggling (with whatever), and Strome and Kreider taking their collective heads out of their asses.

There's time to start pulling in the same direction on that perverbial damned rope.......a win like that is better than yet another loss......one win at a time, one day at a time.

We're Rangers fans. We're resilient and to the man.........lack patience.

The problem is half of that handicap is due to roster construction, not injuries. We only had 2 injuries.

At the end of the day, we beat a team missing some key players.

And the game prior, we lost the game while missing some key players.

So we've been on both sides of that coin. A win with key Flyers out of the lineup counts just as much as losing a game when Panarin, Chytil, Trouba, Miller and (for all intents and purposes) Zibanejad was basically out as well.

So it cuts both ways.
