The PPG w/tang opposed to w/o tang before his big time health issues were off the charts. The team scored basically double when he played than without him.

Now...... now..... eh.
Sid and Crosby made the pp great not Kris Letang..

We are still up 3-2 in the series while losing 2 games on home ice. I think you all need to breathe. I see why people hate the penguins and their fans after I read a PGT here after a loss. Come back down to Earth people we have 2 straight cups and a lead in a series after outplaying them in arguably every game. Get over yourselves.

Why are you here if no discussion of hockey is permitted? Okay let's discuss a game they lost and played badly in without mentioning that they played bad against a bad team and that that bodes poorly for playing better teams. Uh. Well. We scored 2 goals. That's cool. Okay guys, all discussion is over. You can go to bed now.

Actually correction on the 5 to 1 pp's. Should've only been 4-1 but the point still stands. -1.

All I said was we are still in a good spot in the series and people are bridge jumping. Critique and criticize but keep perspective is all I mean. The sky isn’t falling.

They "should" be fine this series but now put themselves in a position where more things can go wrong. Thats why you want to finish a series when you can.

Who knows what happens next game..we outplay them but Neuvirth steals it. They get the bulk of pps next game and take advantage...etc.

Pens are obviously a much better team but hopefully they learned their lesson after that SH goal. Without that we probably win this game 4-1. Cant have shit like that happen. They are way too careless on the PP at times. So many passes resulting in turnovers.

Not worried about getting outplayed next game...but the other things that could go wrong. Like in the Sens series..most frustrating one of any series the past 2 years. Refs were looking to even that series up and have it go 7...dont be surprised if that happens in Philly. Especially since we had the bulk of pps this game.

Murray has to be on..pk as well. And finish chances. Our powerplay disrupted our momentum all game. Rather they call nothing.

Hornqvist's absence was massive tonight. Maybe not at ES, but certainly on the PP. On an semi-related note; I'll never understand, for the life of me, why this team stays so stagnant with the man-advantage. And as soon as the puck is out of our possession, guys just accept that it's gonna be cleared. No urgency or desperation chasing pucks into the corner or battling along the boards. No puck support.

We had every opportunity on special teams to close it out, and we didn't do it. When you look at the big picture and consider the amount of games we've played the last couple of seasons and now that this series is extended, we're really playing with fire here.

Anyone complaining about this team isnt really about this series...its about if they have what it takes to win it all. There are some concerns, epsecially with Kessel being injured. And we saw this heading into the playoffs. Its up to Sully to fix that and make up for his lack of production. I know of a few ways...havent seen it done yet.

That, coupled with the fact that if we advance, the teams we'll face will be immeasurably better than the Flyers. And we have guys hampered mightily by injury.

Closing it out tonight would've been great, for more reasons than just to advance.

Some of you guys crack me up.

When we win a game in dominant fashion, you're full steam ahead with Lord Stanley's parade.

When we lose a game, you want to murder all the players, bury them in the ground, and then burn all the shovels.

Nobody is as a good as their best game or as bad as their worst game. Playoffs have up and downs.

If you said before this series we'd be up 3-2 after 5 games, I'd have taken it.

I can get behind that but it’s brain numbing after a loss sometimes.

The way I see it Boston or Tampa would have won such a series against Philly already, we failed in our attempt tonight. The road only gets more and more difficult from here on in. Even if we win this series we're having to play a minimum of six games against arguably the most flawed team in the post season. This doesn't bode well moving forward. You can put a spin on it if you want, but I suggest the reality of the situation isn't all rainbows and sunshine.

If we get to round 2 it doesn’t matter what we did in round 1.

Precisely, that's why it would have been huge to close it out tonight. Give Horny, Phil and Geno a bit of time to recover.

People have every right to be pissed, this series is now going two games longer than it should have. The Flyers suck, arguably the weakest team in the playoffs. Really, that whole team is trash outside of Courtier, Gostisbehere, and Patrick.

The Pens beat themselves with head scratching decisions on the ice and lack of intensity.

You're wrong because it's a war of attrition also. An extra game makes it harder for us to get rest and to be at a 100%. There's long term residual effects involved. No one has played more games than us in the past three seasons. Eventually that will take a toll.

Yeah I dont even pay attention to those. I complain about the same things in wins that I do in losses. There are areas we can improve in. Things we can get away with now but not later on. If Kessel isnt gonna have his normal "shot" in these playoffs we need to make up for it either collectively ..switching lines up. Or bringing up someone who has that lethal shot. Option 2 probably wont happen but Ill keep mentioning it.

We also.had games that were blowouts so players got less minutes. Itll be fine. Theres other issues that need to be corrected. Not worried about them being tired...injured? Yes.
