Whoops.
Obviously it's just an oversight by the people responsible for the website.

If Sanheim makes the team I would love to see them go to the old PP when Richards, Briere, Pronger and Kimmo were together (with Carter/Hartnell in middle... Lupul before that).
Where they lined up with Briere (left side) and Richards (right side) on halfboards but right near goal-line, and the other forward was generally between circles. Dmen at points.
Then kind of overloaded when puck came to one side, other halfboard man snuck into post... when puck came to halfboards Dman on other side creeped in.
It would suit Sanheim for sure... and Provorov is good enough to do it too.
Personnel wise? Hmmm. Helps having all three guys capable of crashing net, so:
Patrick - Konecny - Couturier
Provorov - Sanheim
Would be for me interesting... and makes sense with handedness (as handedness in that set-up on half boards is more important even than in current one.)
By my estimate the Flyers will probably around 2-3M in cap space when the roster is set.
BTW, I didn't actually do the math, just figuring how many more roster spots will be cut and how much savings those guys will be.
Really concerned about the PP at this point..
So Bardreau & McDonald are out "weeks"
The 1st unit seemed like an easy plug n play with Lindblom. I was expecting a few different plays/setups using that unit. In no way did I expect a pass 1st guy to be put in the Schenn spot. Not sure how that makes any sense.
I was more excited to see what he did with the 2nd unit.
Now I am just disappointed unless the plan is to pump up Flips points in order to move him. But that doesn't look likely either.
At this rate, Lindblom, Vech and Sanheim will be sent to the AHL just to **** me off more.
Lets hope its just an experimemt that ends soon. Oskar is tailor made to play the slot. Puck hound, great hand eye, finishes if given the chance, etc.
They did start Lindblom there though for half a game. PP struggled with him on it, though not because of him more a general unit-wide funk, and they tried Plan B. All offseason and camp to plan and they outright gave the 21 year old 5th round pick with 0 NHL games played the spot. It shows you where their heads are at. I'm going to go out on a ledge and say sooner rather than later Lindblom will get the spot back. It's a test for him right now, that and moving to the 5th line. And they didn't put him on PP2 today. It would be a weird move to go from PP1 to no PP so quickly, unless it was because they were going to reinsert him.
I had my fill of Haks psychological games last season.
Get him in the spot and give him as many reps as possible prior to the start of the season. Any day not spent there is time wasted.
Im actually kind of afraid theyll start him in LHV because hes waiver exempt and they love blah veterans like Read.
great news. perfect opportunity for one of the kids to steal that spot away from him.
Couple of former Flyers lighting the lamp in Arizona tonite, Cousins 2 goals and Luke Schenn 1 goal score their 1st tallies of the preseason.
Watch Nick Cousins have a breakout year now that he's being given an opportunity to play some real minutes in Arizona with better line mates. I wish the Flyers would have given Nick better linemates, instead of VDV and PEB. The youngster Keller has also been very impressive as well.

I have hope for this B6, but I can see Hakstol/Hexy starting out with a real bunch of nothings like Weise/Read/Raffl/Lehtera, that will hurt.
I still say Lindbloms basically a lock. As you can see with Giroux on the wing, this is a practice of just trying out stuff, so I'm not too worried about Lindbloms practice spot right now.
