I think he had one very short shift at the start of the 3rd and never saw the ice again.Did Gauthier even play tonight?
and getting limited shots against. It feels as if 'Shots Against' have dropped considerably but 'High Danger Chances' have increased somehow.Igor looks rusty playing once a week
Because most of the time he is standing still but yet he is gassed when he comes to the benchI think he had one very short shift at the start of the 3rd and never saw the ice again.
Seems a weird decision to play him for no real reason, and then put him on a line that was looking good
That is not true. A healthy Kakko can make a big difference rather than the AHL garbage we are still throwing out there.
It just seems the more he plays the sharper he is right from the opening face offand getting limited shots against. It feels as if 'Shots Against' have dropped considerably but 'High Danger Chances' have increased somehow.
I know emotions are running high during and right after a game but I think what we should really be focusing on is the incredible turnaround in the Rangers 5v5 play since the TD. That was the team's most glaring issue by far and now it's seemingly become a strength. I do want to see how long they can sustain it and against some better teams outside of Pittsburgh, but if this is the team we get until the end of the season, their chances of making a run will have improved tremendously, which is really all that matters. We should all be confident in Igor and in our ST even if there has been a blip on both of those fronts.
Because most of the time he is standing still but yet he is gassed when he comes to the bench
Ok, now that I got my venting out of the way. Shots against since the trade deadline.

And three of those games went in OT. Our possession game has been much improved.
Zibs has to shoot more. Nevermind what Kreider has done... he needs to be leading this team in the goal scoring department.Imagine if Panarin, Zibanejad, Fox, and Shesty were all firing at the same time.
Panarin's turn to step up tonight and he really delivered. Pass on the Copp goal was flat out ridiculous.
Zibanejad and Shesty were a mixed bag. Fox gets the dunce cap tonight.
Man, can you imagine complaining as much as this guy?
He will be another NHL body replacing an AHL body. I think he will play well in the playoffs and make a difference. The entire forward group is just deeper and more dangerous with him in the lineup. This is what I want to see. He's a 30 point player even though he was getting top 6 minutes. We should be under no illusions that he's going to come in and magically lift up the offense.
There’s a measured way to say that and then there’s acting like they’re terrible players. Igor will be fine and Fox is a top 5 D in the NHLI assume I'm the dude, but they both have been playing like shit, Shesterkin lately and Fox has been weak defensively all season. I don't know what to say, they're still great players but haven't been up to snuff.
18 total points in his career and a whopping 7 this year. He is the definition of a scrub.Yup, which is why i found it weird that:
a - he played at all
b - he and his 18 total points were put on a line that we'd like to score
Shesty is getting beat on clean looks w/ great shots, deflections. defensive breakdowns and wide open players in front.
The 1st goal was rough but it knuckled.
2nd goal guy was wide open coming down the slot it was a good snipe.
3rd goals was abysmal defense and effort by the team in front of him.
He's not giving up Georgiev type of goals.
He's had a terrible string of luck and the team while suppressing shots as a whole have been giving up a lot of Grade A+ chances.
