Huh, I guess I focused too much on a few plays by Perfetti. I didn't think he had a great game. Nice pass to Wheeler on the Scheifele goal but apart from that thought he was bobbling the puck a lot. Wasn't wowing me consistently like he did in the Detroit game.

I mean, he played like 10 minutes last night and looked white as a bed sheet. I was surprised he was even in the lineup tonight.

I wonder if that’s true. I wonder why certain teams draft better goalies or develop them. For instance, Boston, Nashville, Washington have had more than their fair share of great goalies.

Do we develop great goalies or did we get lucky by having Rick St.Croix go and look at a goalie and then tell us to draft the kid from the other team named Hellybuyck? I mean goalies are Voodoo and my point it seems like to me that it has to do with their heads then there actual game on how well they play

But we got one great goalie. Nashville had rinne, Saros, Askrov is playing great. Did they get lucky 3 times? Maybe one team has better psychologists then if it’s mostly in their heads.

I really didn't expect the Jets to dominate this game the way they did in a back to back situation. Buffalo was a much tougher opponent and you have to wonder as the season wears on if won't be out with the old in with the new for that final Eastern Conference playoff spot.

The Pens sure need Letang back eating a lot of minutes. I thought the Jets defense was considerably better and more cohesive this game. I hope Neal Pionk's play on the GWG which started with his skating, gives the critics one day of rest at least. The Jets top 6 were dominant tonight, which helped a lot too.

A lot to be happy about after this win...on to the next one.

Yeah no I'm not trying to bash the kid, I'm just saying I didn't think he looked as good as the game score suggests. Like I said I probably just put a bit too much focus on a few bobbles and maybe missed a few good plays while doing something else. Great for him!

That was very good game by the Jets, especially after playing last night. You could tell that some of the guys definitely could have used a sick day...I'm looking at you Perfetti...but still managed to get three assists. Not bad at all. I give the game 4.5 Penguin Fails out of 5...

The Prediction Contest for the game against the Coyotes has been posted and is ready for your guesses. Just a reminder for you to sign up to make a GDT, there are plenty of games still available. I will be posting another informative one for the game against Arizona. See you Sunday...

As I fly from TO to the Dominican with full wifi I must admit (with a few bevi’s under the belt) this so warms my heart to beat Pitt in their barn on the 2nd half ouf our B2B with our back up!! As I mentioned earlier today I have allot of faith in our coaching staff to make the adjustments and for this team to buy in.

Have fun sir

What's your excuse?
Assuming both spend their careers with the Jets Scheifele and Connor will be 1 - 2 at over 1000 points.

That old narrative about Flats ruining goalies is beyond absurd by this point.

My dislike of Flats stemmed from the Pavs Era, because I assumed he was advocating for Pavs.

After watching that beauty of a game, you would think it was the Pens that played last night. Boys are looking good!

Pretty sure the pens did play last night.

It `s probably because Game Score is derived more from the actual boxscores than you think. Perfetti did very well with 3 assists- ergo a good Game Score.

I don't get this team. They lay a relative egg against stupid Detroit (who then beats the Leafs in regulation lol), barely get by Buffalo, and then shut down the Penguins on the second half of a back-to-back. I'm close to throwing caution to the wind. They might really be legit this year.
Easy now do not jump on the bandwagon just yet . I am teetering too after this game but Arizona plays then tough especially trying to break the vaunted vejelmak vortex . I was fully expecting the Jets to get throttled and the excuse machine to be in overdrive but remembered Paul Maurice is not the coach!

As I thought the Jets would get back to playing in structure tonight. Seriously people need to have more faith in this team and not climb out to the ledge after a bad game or 2.
I give you credit for having faith. I really am waiting for the sky to fall. I had post traumatic Maurice Disorder so cut me some slack. Bones is making me a reluctant believer but I will temper my excitement knowing there is still half a season to go before the real season begins!
