What's a reasonable Top 10 prospects for 2023 as of today?

I procrastinated learning about most of them other than Bedard, Michkov and perhaps Fantilli. I want to get to know the Top 15-ish.
Mine is:

1-Bedard
2-Michkov
3-Carlsson
4-Fantilli
5-Reinbacher
6-Smith
7-Moore
8-Dvorsky
9-Benson
10-Barlow
11-Yager
12-Leonard
13-Brindley
14-Salé
15-Strbak
16-Sandin-Pellika
17-Cristall

Reinbacher? That was off my radar…

Not too late to watch him at the WJC, has at least 2 games left. Kid is really good.
I don’t see him as a 1 and given our lack of forward prospects and glut of d prospects I’d likely stay to forwards for when the habs pick

That said reinbacher had a very calming influence whenever he was on the ice

I think he has top pairing upside and a big minutes eater in the making, he is more talented offensively than Guhle. If we can land one of the top fowards, I would pick Reinbacher without any hesitation with the other pick.

Pretty much this. People will have different orders, but these are the general players that are starting to solidify a top 15-20 rankings.

I find those that have Yager around 25 absolutely bizarre.

I can't believe we might pick 2 guys on these lists
It's super exciting I can't lie lol
I'll be happy with almost any combination

It's definitely going to help quicken the rebuild if we can get 2 top picks this year. Add those 2 to our young forwards like Suzuki, Caufield, Dach, Slafkovsky, Roy, Farrell, Beck - that's a really legitimate prospect depth. We don't even need all of them to hit too.

Our prospect/young players pool will look unbelievable by the end of the 2025 draft.

It's clear we're gonna suck next year too, and we have Colorado's 2nd round pick.

Plus we have Calgary's 1st round pick in 2025. We may not suck in 2025, but Calgary likely will, with their chemistry-less ageing overpaid core.

Just remember we don't have our own 2nd rounder in 2024 because of the wonderful Dvorak trade

Alright, fair enough. Not the end of the world though. Our 1st is where the real value will be.

Also, the conditions around Calgary's 2025 1st round pick may push it to 2026. But I gave up reading them so I'm not exactly sure.

I've done my engineering stats and prob over 25 years ago so i might be wrong (brain does age like the rest of the body) but i think in a case like the lottery pick you add the chances.

If there was only four teams with an equal chance to win the 1st overall pick they would have 25% chances to win the 1st overall pick and if you owned two of those pick you would have 50% chance to win the 1st overall.

Wow, did your engineering stats tell you all of that? :sarcasm:

Man, What if NEWjersey just got the true #1 OV.. the Dman they drafted 2nd overall. He looks GOOD so far. Better than Slaf
Nemec can play for sure. I would not be surprised if this happened.

I wouldn't worry too much about the pick being pushed to '26 as 2 things would have to happen,

1. Panthers suck and are a lottery team in '24-'25.
2. Flames win 1st OA in the lottery for '25.

If both things don't happen, we get a 1st in '25, if both happens then it's pushed to '26.

What if only 1 happens?
