Verhaeghe and Reinhart showed up tonight. Reinhart with the biggest goal of his career. Teams will be lining up for Reinharts services if he isn't resigned next week by Zito.
Reinhart and Bennett are 2 of my favorite players in the league and a wet dream of mine to have on the Kings . I hope we go hard after Reinhart but not sure what his contract demands would be .

Reinhart rock solid player. Fans now see how good he can really be playing on a good team. He lost a bunch of years playing on a bad Sabres team but still got around 25G/50PT seasons.

Never followed Bennett's career aside from knowing he's a good checker and agitator.

I was expecting him to be a riled up wild man in interviews in the playoffs. He's actually cool as a cucumber!

Bob was .899 and Skinner was .909 SV% for the series. You can't blame Skinner. I don't know why people are looking to toss blame around anyways, it was a 1 goal game in game 7, that's just a great competitive series.

McDavid was a no show in 5 games in the Finals. Draisatl was a no show in 7 of them. That's pretty much it. Oilers' depth players played out of their minds, gotta tip your cap to guys like Foegele.

Also, f*** Zach Hyman. Chickenshit loser.

I don't think the typo was intentional, but I like it lol.
I suspect that it was intentional and a reference to an epic thread during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.

I am still amazed at the certainty many people had about Edmonton winning The Cup after winning G5&6.
recency bias is a real thing. before the series started I and most of the posts here, were predicting Panthers in 6 or 7 and McDavid winning Smythe, but when the Cats went up 3-0 everyone was predicting sweep or 5 games and Bob winning the MVP, then the Oilers became favorites after winning game 5. In the end, the bulk of the non-emotional pre-series predictions were validated, but all of those same posters kept changing their picks during the series. I was in that boat as well.

EDIT: almost forgot, Congrats Panthers!

Don’t forget, panthers fans were here last season….

The core of this oiler group will still be here next year and while it stings now, it might not this time next year
I wouldnt be so sure i think this was their best chance . Yes their core will still be here but many made it possible for them to perform the way they did such as role players

They have only 10 million in cap space and many notable free agents .

Henrique , Janmark , Brown , Foegele players who are important for their penalty kill and bring some much needed depth to their lineup are UFA’s. Broberg and Holloway need new contracts . And few others but i mentioned the above 4 because theyre integral in their amazing PK that allowed Mcdavid to not kill any penalties and be fresh for 5 on 5 . Not sure what theyre going to do nor if their penalty kill will be as good as it was . They were near perfect tbh this post season. They will not be as good as this year while others keep improving.

Theyre going to lose depth and role players .

Yeah, Skinner was solid
Yup Skinner was great. The problem in game 7 were the top 2 lines no producing. This is like the Canuck fans blaming Luongo in 2011 for losing 4-0 in game 7 against the Bruins. They did not score!

The Panthers played a good defensive game that the Oiler top line could not answer etc for the Janmark goal (assisted by Ceci). McDavid was disappointing in games 6 and 7.

His game was made for the playoffs . You win with guys like him . Great checker , agitator , hits hard and often and has skill to provide secondary scoring . Great player happy he won and wish he was on the Kings .

Lol ya he gets a bad rep because he plays on the edge but hey at the of the day you want competitive winners on your team .

This is true. Edmonton was cooked after game 3. Then some of the same people saying Edmonton was cooked were saying they couldn't see how Florida could win after that comeback. In the end this was a 7 game series and both teams were capable of winning games.

I’d like to say thank you to absolutely f***ing no one. Put respect on the Panthers name. Most other towns with similar track records of mediocrity would’ve folded like cheap lawn chairs. There was and is a strong and unbelievably loyal fan base that rode with this team for 30 years of mediocrity and now we are the champs.
