Florida Panthers beat Toronto Maple leafs 4-1, advance to ECF

Let's see what they do against a team that shows up.

They can try to show up... but Florida has a Kachook brother.

I've never seen a player like Mattchew Kachook.

He reminds me of a Prime Eric Lindros, but more skilled and a little less truculence. He is the EVOLVED version of Lindros.

That trade for Huberdeau and Weegar was an absolute steal of the century.

This is making an assumption that is not in evidence.

(And we wouldn't be at liberty to say either way regardless.)
I haven't noticed any Habs posters missing lately. :D But bannings should be disclosed so posters know something has been done.

I can empathize with that perspective but the rule exists for very important reasons. (And if you want to try to make the case for it, the Contact Us link at the bottom of each page reaches the admin staff - we're otherwise getting too far off topic here.)

Yeah, no, the guys who trolled the Panthers board all season over the draft pick are definitely upset right now. Sorry, you might not be upset, but let's enjoy reality here for a bit.

Oh, don't let anyone fool you. A bunch of Habs fans were super upset over the course of the series by the Florida wins. There's definitely a ton of salt among some fans right now.

Leafs Fans: Irate that in a video that's 100% inconclusive, the tying goal is called back.

Leafs Fans: Elated that the team scores the tying goal with minutes left to salvage the season for a little while longer.

Leafs Fans: Lose the game and go back to bitching about the no-goal call even though it was a moot point because they tied it up it up eventually anyway.

I don't get it.

Not to rub salt in the wound but I think there are even more people disappointed this year in the Leafs just because even Sens and Habs fans were secretly cheering for Toronto to succeed, this Leafs crew seemed to have some good vibes cast on them by rival markets so now they know what’s it’s like to be let down by Toronto
Habs fans had an ulterior motive for wanting the leafs to succeed, LoL, & it had nothing to do with good vibes.
They probably have been scrubbing extra hard in the shower since rooting for Boston went all wrong....and now, gotta try to somehow wash off the stain they likely feel from rooting for the Leafs :naughty:

Christmastime dreams of Bedard have diminished to where #29 is now the best the pick which they acquired from FL for can become.

This happens all the time with all fanbases. Heck, it's a constant for regular season games, let alone playoff elimination games.

How do you not get it?

If that goal counts then that Nylander goal is potentially the game winner and we're playing again tomorrow.

Its not rocket science.

And literally every fanbase does this. Even yours. And yes, even you have done it.

I've NEVER blamed my team losing a series on the refs, let alone a goal that was called back. I certainly can't speak for other dreamers.

If that no-goal counts, than anyone's goal after that is potentially the game winner, that's counting Florida too, BTW. Why are you dreaming that Nylander pot's that same goal if the no-goal went Toronto's way?

Rocket science is built on facts, not what-ifs.

Dude, it’s not that simple. the whole course of the game afterward would have been different. FL would’ve went from playing with a lead to needing another goal to win. Much would have unfolded differently if the goal counted.

People are acting like it was a Game 7 situation where that would've been the winning goal to send them to the next round. Oh well. :)

I think if that goal counts we win.We were playing great the whole game. The ref blew the whistle way too fast.I would like to know if there was a replay of it with sound as to when the whistle was blown.Sux we lost after playing our best game when we had to.
We need a defense with SIZE.

What the hell are you talking about? What does Habs pick have to do with Florida's pick?

It wasn't a steal. That cockroach wasn't going to stay so they made the best of it.

I can't help but compare this to when my Jackets kicked the Leafs out during the COVID playoffs and folks were going on about how Robertson was needed to "spark" the Leafs. Makes me wonder why the Leafs seem to be dependent on rookies for energy and enthusiasm.
Because their core guys are gutless and the young turks are hungry
