They went hard for the Saturday's. Which is usually the best draw by far.
Really liked what they did with the schedule, will need to battle the football in the fall, but 0 home Friday games in Oct vs High School football.
Erie November 3rd is the only Friday home game until Dec 15th. That's very well done there.
Saturdays -
Sept 30th - Firebirds at 7 vs Kitchener, MSU TBD @ Iowa. Michigan is TBD @ Nebraska. Road games by both will help the Dort a bit.
Oct 7th - Firebirds at 7 vs Soo. MSU Off. Michigan @ Minnesota. Road game and bye week, should help the Dort.
Oct 14th - Firebirds at 7 Guelph. MSU 12 pm @ Rutgers. Michigan at home vs Indiana. Indiana won't be very good. I'd be shocked if that wasn't also a noon kickoff. Should help the Dort.
Oct 21st - There's no home game for the Birds. Michigan @ MSU, it's been a noon game for the last few years. I'd be shocked if that changed. Avoided a massive day here.
Oct 28th - Firebirds at 7 vs Soo. MSU TBD @ Minnesota. Michigan on a bye week. That should help the Dort.
Oct29th - Home vs Saginaw 4pm. Great slot here. Lions are off and play Monday Night Football on the 30th. Huge win here for this one.
Nov 3rd Friday - This will be district finals weekend, so the high school load will be much lighter at this time. Not a bad first Friday game.
Nov 4th - Firebirds at 7 vs Missy. MSU TBD Home vs Nebraska. I'll be rooting for a noon kickoff so I can double dip. Michigan TBD Home vs Purdue. Probably the worst Saturday they will have in the fall.
Nov 18th - Firebirds at 7 vs Owen Sound. MSU TBD @ Indiana. Michigan TBD @ Maryland.
Road games, should help the Dort.
Nov 25th - Firebirds at 7 vs Niagara. MSU Plays Friday the 24th. Michigan plays Ohio State at 12.
Should help the Dort.
November 26th Sunday - Firebirds vs Kitchener 4pm. Lions play on Thanksgiving.
I know football will hurt the fall a little bit, but outside of the Nov 4th possibilities, I think they did a hell of a job requesting dates.
