Saturday is Flinturday.
I'll be in Flint all day, eating nothing but the finest Flint cuisine before the Flint City Bucks game at 2pm, grab dinner inbetween and then the Birds at 7pm.

Well, that was a big win. I still don’t like how they’ve been starting games. They know Tynan can lose his cool and they know when given a chance to get into the game and find his groove he can be lights out. Get on him from the drop of the puck. Yet, they’ll come out just meh or flat. Greyhounds will be flying on Saturday. They lose that, they gotta head back to the Soo. I’d be much happier if they just finish this Saturday. Get some rest and hope Kitchener can win the next one too. All that being said, I’m mildly surprised at how well they played the last two. Coming back after being down and going 1-1 up there is pretty impressive. I think both Owen Sound and the Soo are a bit better than they’re playoff position suggest. If this series does still end up going a bit long, the Greyhounds top 5 is gonna be tired because they are out there all the time.
To be honest I think my Attacks playoff position was bang on. I will say the boys worked hard and improved steadily all year so what you saw in round 1 was the result of hard work and persistent coaching. All season I've been saying the Spits will be western Conf champs but your Firebirds are giving me some doubt on that. Over these playoffs I am a Luke Cavillan fan he is playing lights out and if you guys end up playing the Spits he is probably the difference maker. That game last night was a fantastic game.
I’d take the Attack over Guelph or London and I think they’d give the Soo and the Spits quite a handful. I think the Hounds beat London and are about even with the Spits. Now if the Spits and Hounds do meet (healthy bodies being equal) this year, they’re gonna be gassed from having to pull back on Flint in 7 games. For four years in this thread and across these boards all Luke Cavallin has pretty much faced is criticism and doubt. Go look at the top goalie thread. He’s either left off the list or in the 2nd-3rd tier groups. I’m really glad to see him finally getting a bit of the credit he’s due and hope he’s working his way into a pro contract right now. There’s still somewhere between 3 and 22 games left for him to prove himself.

Should be a good crowd and walk-up tonight. Wish I could be there. My wife and I are home sick with Covid. Luckily, the 7 year old doesn’t have it. I remember as a teenager somewhere in the late 70’s Flint was playing Port Huron In the IHL Playoffs and won on a Friday Night at McMoran Arena. I went at noon to the I.M.A. Sports Arena Saturday morning to get tickets for that nights either game #6 or 7 and there were already a couple hundred in line for tickets to that nights Game. Lots of great playoff memories and the Firebirds are making more. The 1/2 dozen who post on this forum nearly daily know what we have. Hope more find out. The series isn’t over and tonight will be a hard fought game, but from a far I am so proud of Flint’s team. I find it interesting that many fans of our two playoff opponents took Flint lightly, We shall see what happens.

Hard to believe someone in another teams thread described the Firebirds as a non playoff caliber team with a great goalie. 
Doesn't that describe about any playoff team when you take away their no1 goalie? I have nothing but respect and admiration for both teams and their players that we've seen so far with maybe one exception for behaving badly when visiting your opponents arena.

Hope you and your wife get well soon and are able to watch the game from home. Going to miss watching it but will check out the score periodically during tonight's game in Toronto.
Man your Leafs took the L and the Firebirds are in the western conference finals, you could not have had a worse night.
It was a fabulous night. She got to let everyone know she was in Toronto!!! I can’t wait until she posts pics. She’s so cool. I’ve never....oh wait. I’ve been to multiple Leafs games.

True. None of those on my resume. Former Greyhound Mastermind Dubas’ Leafs knocked out again and his protege gets absolutely dusted in a must win game in Flint on the same night.

Actually MY Lightning took the W and have back to back Stanley Cups and I just learned from your post that the Firebirds are in the Western Conference Finals. I could not have had a BETTER night.

You also need to remind everyone including Toldyaso how Flint faired against Windsor. If it wasn't for Windsor the Firebirds very well would have had the 1st seed, Who do you think is favored? Flint or Windsor?

Which wagon are you speaking of? Attendance said 3300+ tonight that is not full.
You said Flint was only in position because of Saginaw and Erie games. WHICH YOU WERE CLEARLY EXTREMELY WRONG ABOUT.
Windsor has been the class of the West, don’t think anyone here is overly confident like the Soo thread was.
But yet again, you were wrong. But thats Par for the course for you here.
