Nothing to do with colour of jersey unless it white and green. Ho Sang did the same type of thing and got 15 games due to player breaking leg. Sadly punishments are different when injury is involved. If you hit or shove a guy from behind and they go head first into boards it should be automatic 3-5 games no matter whatI'm not going to say it. We all know what the discipline would have been if the jersey had been blue and orange. Guess I said it.
Reviews only take 25 minutes in Owen Sound due to the dial up.Watching the highlights on the OHL site, I’m not 100% sure that puck wasn’t in the net underneath Tynan’s glove. The one time they don’t spend 25 minutes reviewing a play on an iPad. They didn’t even look at it. I gotta rewatch to see that Keppen hit at the end too. It better have been pretty good to call that there. Keppen was pissed but Calisti was down on all fours too so....
Well watching the stream from the SOO buffering and then resetting to a delay so long that my phone app told me savard scored on a power play before the penalty was even committed watching the stream. Methinks the SOO and Owen sound must be using the same ISPReviews only take 25 minutes in Owen Sound due to the dial up.
It’s at like 4:40 of the 3rd. I can’t see anything to say it was for sure in but the way the OHL highlights’ overhead camera angle is, it looks like it’s rebounding back out from in pretty deep. I just think it should have have gotten a closer look. As far as Calisti goes, it’s just like Thompson for me. Doesn’t matter whether or not he gets up and is fine, it’s the action itself that should matter. At that point in the game with the score 3-2 though? It better have been a fairly decent shot to make the call.Calisti was fine, right back out to start the PP. Didn't see the hit.
Which shot are you referring to? What was the timestamp?

On mine the video feed started corrupting and stalling while the audio kept running then the whole thing borked for about 20 seconds resynced and seemed fine. CHL app popped a notification that savard scored a power play goal and about 20 seconds later the penalty was called on the video stream. Then there was another minute or so until he scored the goal in the stream. I know a delay is normal and I have some experience in stream broadcasting. But that much delay only happens when the upstream source is extremely inconsistent. I have seen it before with streams from the SOO. This was definitely a source issue. I have a rock solid 450 Mbit downstream at my home. It’s at like 4:40 of the 3rd. Mine was a mess too. The Soo was always one of the worst feeds. It’s better now with the Shaw feed but it was still corrupting. Even on the OHL site’s highlights they couldn’t source clear video of the Kerins goal.On mine the video feed started corrupting and stalling while the audio kept running then the whole thing borked for about 20 seconds resynced and seemed fine. We've come a long way but I agree its still terrible, it confuses me why they opt to use their own video and audio rather than tapping into the Shaw feed for streaming..something to do with Shaw being greedy for money Im sure, why pay for a monthly cable subscription when you can watch the game for a few bucksMine was a mess too. What happen? Earlier this year the Soo was using Gerry Liscumb Jr. and Spanky Robinson radio feed for the CHL TV broadcasts. They now have the Shaw broadcasters. Was that to be an improvement? The only improvement I see is the live intermission coverage. Agree with others, the video was bad for Game 3.We've come a long way but I agree its still terrible, it confuses me why they opt to use their own video and audio rather than tapping into the Shaw feed for streaming..something to do with Shaw being greedy for money Im sure, why pay for a monthly cable subscription when you can watch the game for a few bucks
The Soo still will have to win in Flint, which they haven't done thus far if they want to win this series. Winning just their homes games won't get them to round 3.A win tonight will put a stranglehold on the series a loss makes it a best of three.
The quality of the video can be blamed on the Soo but if you're having buffering/rendering issues that is something going wrong with an ISP or with your internet connection.I didn't have any buffering issues, but my sound was 5-7 seconds ahead it felt like.
Well yes but the ISP in this case is the ISP handling the stream from the arena to the streaming server. When that stream is unreliable the streaming server cannot cast the missing data. Typically it recognizes this and automatically starts increasing the delay in hopes of receiving the missing data in time to cast a complete signal. A multi minute delay signal a seriously unreliable, underperforming upload stream to the streaming server. The quality of the video can be blamed on the Soo but if you're having buffering/rendering issues that is something going wrong with an ISP or with your internet connection.
Pixilation and sporadic blackouts are what I experienced with the Game 3 broadcast in the Soo. No buffering here. The only other problem that I have had for all season is the audio of Flint broadcasts, but solved that by muting the volume and listening to the oppositions broadcast via an Echo show. The quality of the video can be blamed on the Soo but if you're having buffering/rendering issues that is something going wrong with an ISP or with your internet connection.
Well, I have to admit though that the quality overall of CHL TV has improved as compared to when Neulion was handling the broadcasts. In addition, the cost of the service is now a lot less costly too. Fortunately, we have a comp subscription so to be fair no one should be complaining when your getting the service for free.curious. i haven't had any issue with buffering although I watch games on a hardwired desktop. But find the picture quality of the greyhounds camera to be HOT GARBAGE.
