I would have made the attendance 2,008. Tell the other 400,000 plus in the area! Oh, I worked and live 3 hours away.

The attendance gripe is in EVERY team’s thread right now. It’s league wide. London-Windsor-Kitchener-Hamilton etc. Even I skipped today. Just busy and I can get a little done around the house in between whistles. Not to mention save my wallet a little bit with all the playoff ticket $ and paying for next years ST’s at the same time.

Attendance is a vital part of sustainability wether it is New Years Day or Mother’s day. I love the win, but am disappointed in Flint’s hockey fans.
I do appreciate the 2,007 that were there and wish I could have been.

Lead by example. Plenty of time to come down for a Sunday afternoon game and make it back to TC tonight at a reasonable time.

With all the crap that’s happened in the past, the Team is here…playing in a building that’s the nicest it’s been in decades. If Rolf is worried as much as you are,he’d do something about it. It’s not your money…just enjoy it

I do. I just think the days of game after game packed houses is a thing of the distant past. With Rolf’s millions he is probably one of the few that can sustain this. Disappointed for our boys on the ice. Perhaps it is the same in Mississauga.

Well keep in mind the days you are thinking of were in the 70's. That was 50 - 60 yrs ago when the county had 50,000 more people and 80,000 more Union scale GM employees to buy the tickets. I remember it clear as a bell as I'm sure you do as well. Flint/Genesse County has never recovered from the abandonment of the community by General Motors, It is unrealistic to expect the community to have the levels of disposable income now that they had in the County's manufacturing heyday. All things considered they are doing pretty well in my view.

The second coming of the Flint Generals was in the the late 90’s and early 2000’s had many many sellouts and seemed to have 3,500 plus every night u til their later years. I agree with we have lost a lot of people, but Saginaw did too. They are a union city as well and much smaller than Flint, but have been doing very very well with attendance only 30-35 minutes away. No question Flint isnt the city it once was, but I know there are good hard working people still there and still hockey fans too.

^^This^^ London Kitchener game 7 wasn't 2/3 full at Bud Gardens where it was hard to get a regular season ticket in 2019.
Announced attendance was 5908 numbers London hadn't experienced outside of preseason since they opened the arena in 2002.

Yea I was around for that to and they had some big nights and they had some damn low attendance nights. You are choosing to remember through rose colored lenses. There wasn't really a second coming. Not even remotely like the 70's when police were needed to direct traffic into the arena. Feel free to remember in any way that makes you feel better but it wasn't all that in the 90's more often than not.

Yea I saw that. was pretty surprised it being London and all. You know it's rough when London can't hit 6k for a playoff game.

You forgot to mention that the Knights averaged 7,100+ during this season in which Budweiser Gardens was shut down for fans due to Covid rules. Do you know the last time Flint drew 5908 for a hockey game in Flint?
