I think getting all hyped up because you're going to be charged with a sexual assault is a little different than someone being hooked on drugs or alcohol.

But that's just me.

If he had taken a leave for mental health in the years prior to this all coming out recently because he genuinely felt bad about what happened, I'd feel different. Claiming mental health only after you're going to be charged doesn't strike me as a legitimate mental health concern. Its actually a disservice to anyone really suffering from real mental health issues.

But again, that's just me.

Its a legitimate mental health issue. I wouldn't want him flying an airplane I was riding in.

You can choose to not be sympathetic to the cause of his mental anguish but to deny it is just wrong.

that is a good question, why does it take soo long? is it the courts being booked, or is it the lawyers needing to get their ducks in a row.

Hart is the only player who has a slim chance at a NHL career but he won’t. No one will touch a middle six/bottom six/bottom defensive pair/ maybe a top 10-15 goalie with this kind of taint on them. It just isn’t worth it from a PR perspective. Terrible decision making by these 5 and Hockey Canada. They should pay

We like to give guys time to re-offend, so we really know if they are a criminal or not when going to trial
