Guy's been here for 3.5 years, highest paid GM in the league, has made 2 good free agent signings and the rest of everything is complete dogshit. I've said it before, one day the dumber half of this fanbase will realize having 2 franchise players drag a tirefire of ineptitude to the conference finals does not retroactively make Chiarelli, Holland, or whatever f***stick Nicholson hires afterward a good GM.

What exactly are you defending when you defend Holland? That in 4 years he successfully paid the free agency tax for a couple of good players in Hyman & Ceci? Oh f***ing gee buddy, the broken clock was right twice! Plan the parade!

We could win tomorrow. There's a 97% chance it will be because McDrai willed it into existence. Changes nothing. Holland is objectively asstrash.

The scary thing is really the Kane signing was a fluke that fell into his lap under freak circumstances (guy's ex-wife destroyed his reputation on social media because she was angry he dumped her to get back with his previous gf).

Really, left to his own devices, Hyman is the only really good player he's added to the team. Ceci in/Larsson out is a wash.

He better so something soon.. or the OIl can kiss Leon and Connor good bye in 2 and 3 years respectively

This guy is the worst GM in the league. If this organization had any accountability he'd be fired. But it won't happen because the rot starts from higher.

25% of the way into the season and they're not even in a playoff spot. That was unthinkable before the season started.

Holland has probably been the team's worst GM and he has some stiff competition there.

I am not a Holland fan but.

1/2 our top 9 injured including a very impactful Kane.

Campbell not playing like I know he can.

Some straight out strange regression from a few players.

The Oilers had a very difficult schedule to start the year.

Team defense looks day and night worse under Woodcroft this year compared to last year. Players? Coaches? No idea but obvious team defensive brain facts are hard to pin on the GM.

With an easier schedule ahead I hope the Oilers can take advantage while getting some players back.

The team had around 20M in cap space in the offseason.

Almost 14M of it is being used on Campbell, Puljujarvi, Yamamoto and Kulak.

Imagine what a good GM could have done with that space.

Hollands job was to get us a goalie last year not this year. He could have moved Koskinen last year but didn’t want to part with a precious draft pick that this team wouldn’t have seen till 25-26. The way this team drafts we will be lucky to see him at all.

He went out and placed a 5 year $25M bet on a wonky Campbell who has less self confidence than PJ if that is even possible. You need to be 100% sure on contracts like that and to wind up with an even less reliable goalie than we have had the past 4 years is hardly even possible given whose been available the past 2 seasons.

Not trading PJ and handcuffing us cap-wise was another colossal mistake. Holland gambled on PJ somehow gaining value beyond a 3rd round pick and if anything he will cost us a draft pick to move him just to open cap space.

He f***ed up the cap so bad we had to send Janmark down who barely is above League minimum and Kostin who is at League minimum for Ryan and Shore who are way past their best before dates.

Washed up Brad Malone gets more ice time than rookie Dylan Holloway who plays the 5 minutes a game that Holland said he wouldn’t be playing.

He let Bouchard miss an entire f***ing season rotting in the press box and today we pay for a missed year of NHL development.

I could go on and on but it’s clear Holland has left this organization in yet another deep hole. He needs to go along with Tyler Wright and any scout who was here pre Holland. Kieth Gretzky might as well take a hike too, just clean the house already in upper management including Nicholson.

Yet another season where the team would be better off if you could undo literally every single contract Holland signed in the offseason.

Katz must be pissed that his $5M / year GM just signed a $5M / year wet paper bag to play goal for us for the next 5 years.

He's still got the keys to the car and is going to make a horrific trade to try to save his job. I foresee a historically bad trade coming down the pipe. I have negative confidence with this guy still employed.

The organization , from the top down, keeps making the same mistakes. After absolutely gutting the Bruins and leaving them with no cap space, prospects, and a bad roster, the Oilers decided to hire Chia. After he did literally the exact same to this team- the Oilers looked around and decided to hire Holland- who did THE EXACT SAME THING to Detroit. Messed up their cap, left them with no good players, picks or prospects.

It’s comical to think that the best Defense we’ve had in the last 20 years was under Kevin Lowe. The bar is so low, yet this organization cannot clear it.
You keep hiring GMs who don’t believe in using actual numbers and analytics to evaluate players, and evaluate based on “gut feel” , you get Lowe , Chia, and Holland.
