Are we really gonna give credit to a goalie coach for thinking to shoot high on a butterfly goalie?
It's more of figuring a way to get the time, space & shooting lanes to be able to shoot high & I'm sure a goalie coach has little to nothing to do with that.
I don't know if it was before or after Woodley, but Struds really went into detail to what a pre-playoff meeting or whatever they call it.
It's not just one guy that contributes, it's a lot of guys.
Goalie tendencies, player tendencies, what kind set plays the team does, what kind system they play, their strengths overall, their weaknesses. Just everything and anything.
I'm sure Schwartz is apart of it, but honestly I think anyone on these boards could do the job of analyzing the opposing goalie. Struds said they will literally look at every goal the goalie let in and give you a breakdown on how and where they are scored. Seems more of a pain in the ass job than a skilled job to sit there and map out goals allowed.
