I'll do some for Swedish, as best as I can.

Filip Forsberg: Phillip Waterfall Mountain

Rapid Mountain would be a more correct translation.

-fors-, -berg- and -ström- are very common prefixes and suffixes in Swedish names. My mother's maiden name is Byström, and my two aunts' married names are Strömberg and Bergström.

Bumping this older thread now that we have some new Finns in the league. One of the new ones is Antti Suomela and if you split his last name, you'll get words "suo" (swamp) and "mela" (paddle). "Mela" is also a nickname for a larger penis and comparable English word could be "dong". So I think his translated name should be Anthony Swampdong.

Thank god he made it to the NHL so we can all appreciate the Swampdong.

"Dick Woodpecker climbs on top of Deep Forest and is absolutely hammering him, just wacking away without any breaks. Submissive Man has climbed into the fray, trying to pull Dick Woodpecker off Deep Forest. Woah, woah what a smackdown, Submissive Man just opened himself to a big blow by DickWoodpecker and he's down unconscious on the ice. What a finish and I don't mean the country"

I'm glad to have come across this thread. I can make my way in several languages, but not Finnish.
