There's also:

Suomalainen = Finnish
Virolainen = Estonian
Suomi = Finland
Saksa = Germany
Ruotsi = Sweden

Growing up, I knew a guy who's surname was Saksa (=Germany). His nickname was Itä-Saksa (East-Germany). :laugh:

There's even Saksa?? waiting for a Finnish prospect named Esa Eteläafrikka to come up any year now :laugh:

What about Alex Lintuniemi, Esa Pirnes, Mikko Eloranta, Lauri Tukonen and Tuukka Mäntylä?

Lintuniemi = bird cape
Pirnes doesn't mean nothing in particular
Eloranta = life/living beach
Tukonen means nothing but tukko(i)nen = congested
Mänty means pine, -lä/-la usually is often indication of a place, so roughly Mäntylä = pine-place
Also, people often misspell Tuukka as Tukka, which means hair (only the hair on your head) :laugh:

Mikko Eloranta = Michael Livingbeach

Edit: or Alivebeach

Mike Cropshore, I'd say. In the context 'elo' I would gather means crop, or the ripe grain that you harvest in August, our 'crop-month', following the 'hay-month' and preceding 'fall-month'.
