I preordered off amazon and it’s out for delivery today. I’m excited to play it hopefully it doesn’t take too long to install.
I would still rather play the first part on PC, but I believe it still has massive stuttering issues, so at some point, I'm going to go back to it on PS5. I want to get through that before I even touch Rebirth.

Yeah I had to buy an external hard drive for my ps4 when I got red dead 2 I have a lot of old nhl and maddens that I’ll probably end up deleting off but I’m expecting it to be a little while before I can boot up and play the game tonite lol god I miss the old days sometimes where you just pop open the game and put it in and ready to play.

About 5 hrs in after buzzing through the Nibelheim part again. This game throws so much stuff at you to do right away it's almost overwhelming.

I am envious of those playing it and wished I had just caved and gone digital. I pre-ordered from Best Buy to get the Steelbook and my order says its shipping tomorrow but who knows - I also got an email that part of my order will arrive Friday (seemingly just the Steelbook), so I am not optimistic at this point.

Also, worth noting, if you played the demo and beat it, you still have to do the opening scene and begin your run up the mountain before it lets you skip.

I'm now not sure what I was thinking, but I decided to delete the Demo to clear space in anticipation of arrival, and I kinda want to be able to skip and get to new stuff. I guess I'll treat it like a way to knock off any dust from two weeks of not playing (I ended up just not doing the Junon demo).

There is so much to do in this game. This is is the game I was hoping we were going to get with the first remake.
I'm five hours in and...
I just beat the Midgar Zolom (I refuse to call it the Midgardsormr). I'm not even going to progress any further. I'm going to go back and do more side quests, hunt for materials and explore. I could see myself putting in 20 hours before I even get to Junon. I also just want to play a shit ton of Queens Blood. So addicting.
This game is having the same impact on me in terms of awe and amazement that the original FF7 had.

Still gave me the option to skip because I had the save data, but decided to just speed through anyways because I wanted to grab potions etc and shake off any dust. Just noticed something in the flashback sequence that I didn't catch in the demo -- major spoilers if you aren't familiar with FF& OG but otherwise no spoilers for Rebirth:
When Cloud is saying "Seph-iroth" as he's limping towards his mom's house in the town destruction seen, the left hand side briefly identifies it as something that a "Security Officer" is saying. Not sure if it's a weird glitch but would seem not, nice small easter egg if so.
You're a bit further than me, I'm planning on clearing out the grasslands before moving on.
Though I may just forego that completely because I want new QB opponents. Square needs to make an online feature for PvP with this.

I hit 10 hours and I'm just by the part from the Junon demo, and I feel like I've barely done any side stuff along the way. This game is f***ing massive.
