Sure. I’m not ignoring the fact that he’s out. But there’s a lot of real estate between acknowledging his injuries and pretending certainty that they’ve all been concussions and he’s about done, as I’ve seen others on here do.I certainly don’t want to trade him. Ignoring his injury history is foolish though
Wasn’t aware — never heard of “trade pending physical” or the like in NHL.Used to be like that.. when did it change?
I think they can ltir fil retroactively no? Or is that just for ir?
okay, nothing personal? What @TGWL said made sense, whereas what you said was kind of personal. I am allowed my opinion, right, wrong or indifferent. AND, if you're too lazy to see what TGWL said, he said Filips injuries we kind of "accidents" with his head down. Which is very true. He needs to fix that, and you can fix being a little too computer aggressive. Have a nice day.Nothing personal, but your statement is borderline idiotic. So, yes, your statement should be ripped apart.
Up Until a few Years ago you would hear thatWasn’t aware — never heard of “trade pending physical” or the like in NHL.
I know we won't do it and with this type of injury you really can't put a time frame on it but LTIR him for the season wouldn't be the worst thing.Any update here?
Was thinking last night during the game how much more complete this team would look up front with Chytil and Kakko in the lineup.
Its not like they are Mess and Gretz but you take Pitlick and probably Brodz out (whos been very good) and they are even more formidable from a matchup and defensive standpoint
He's the type of player who gets red hot. He can carry a team for a little stretch and make a difference. Its a real shame.Chytil would juice offensively whatever line he is on, definitely.
Still skating by himself.Any update here?
I think we could really use his speed. Right now I just hope he is okay. Health in general is a big deal. He's the type of player who gets red hot. He can carry a team for a little stretch and make a difference. Its a real shame.
For shame, Filip! For shame! He's the type of player who gets red hot. He can carry a team for a little stretch and make a difference. Its a real shame.
I read in the other thread that the NYR sent him to a specialist in another state. Hope he heals 100% hockey aside.I wonder if they just decided to hold him out until after the christmas break, or if he's still having trouble recovering
Who reported that?I read in the other thread that the NYR sent him to a specialist in another state. Hope he heals 100% hockey aside.
Who reported that?
Ugh.
Thanks
Strong possibility symptoms returned after after 11/24 skating which is why he went to see the specialist on the 26th, otherwise why wait 3 weeks to send him to see him?Note, if we're going with all the reporting as being accurate:
Chytil was concussed on Nov 4.
Nov 24 It was reported that he had "recently" started skating on his own
Nov 26 It was reported that the Rangers had "recently" sent him to the specialist in Michigan
This Dec 20 tweet is referencing that Nov 26 report from Staple/Athletic.
Usually in concussion recovery. You rest until you have no symptoms. Then you wait at least a week before physical activity (light workout graduating to on-ice skating) while monitoring any return of symptoms (usually 24hrs after workout). It would not be unusual for a person to visit a specialist after receiving multiple concussions.
Guess what I'm saying is it's neither good nor bad right now. Differing scenarios could be playing out right now. Which one, we just don't know.

Chytil is skating on his own and he’s been around the practice facility, but that’s all we know.
