My goal this year is to get Maupay to 250 goals. He will be my striker through it all!
I got Aguero in a 79+ and he's the same way...99 finishing.
He's a bit slow but he's lethal.

Absolutely. Lukaku, Haaland, Lewandowski, Immobile are all reliable goal scorers.

My current CB pairing is Akanji and Nacho Fernandez and while they aren't the fastest, they're also not the slowest either so I don't know for sure. I have Pique so maybe I'll give him a go in a few rivals games, but I'd imagine faster CBs are still more viable.
I've been using Ramos who also isn't the quickest. Slower defenders that have high defending seem to be good right now...remains to be seen for how long though.

I've personally really enjoyed using Mikel Merino and Canales from La Liga. Cheap and effective players for starting out, but I've been using them since day 1 and they've helped me climb up the division ranks.

Shame on me for thinking I was good at this Fifa. Had a relatively easy time adapting to this game, got a solid record, went 6-0 in the playoffs, won my first game in fut champs and then proceed to lose my next 5. At this rate I'd be lucky to get to 4 wins
I am trash at this game...woof. Somehow managed Rank 3...mostly because 3 people gave away their wins (I gave 2 back to Pay it Forward).
I opened my 100K pack from Rewards...holy shit.
I legit don't know what to do...He's 900K on the market. If I sell him I could easily set myself up the rest of the year....but a first owner Hero is tough to pass up.
AND Mane! I may sell Mane for 240K and then build around this guy. Sheesh.

Thank god thats over with. Finished in rank 3 practically crawling on my hands and knees. Made it with 1 game to spare so I gave the last game away. Worst part is it wasn't even worth it as I got nothing good from rewards. Best player was Barella from the 100k pack and Trapp from the Totw pack .
Qualified again by the skin of my teeth, winning my last 2 games.
Current squad:
Boadu up top, Pele as a CAM in a 4-3-3(4).
Gonna do the Ligue 1 POTM when it drops and probably move Pele to striker, but Boadu is a really good 76 rated... Hope he gets some upgrades.

Got Rank 3 (which is all I really want) with 5 games to spare. Played better but still struggling on defense.
Got Muller and Romero from Reds which is decent, Muller and Lozano from the TOTW pack, and Neuer from the 100K pack. Not selling too much right now because I'm building up first owners for each league.
Completed Fekir and the Bundesliga POTM.

Interesting weekend to say the least. Didn't really want to play champs on Friday, but I didn't have much to do so I would play a couple rivals games to warm up and then jump into champs. Literally lost all of games and rage sold everyone and just built a standard prem side.
Start champs on saturday and actually get off to a decent start going 6-4. Sunday starts off with a win and then I proceed to lose my next 3 with at least 2 of those losses being completely underserved. Really pissed me off those games. So there's 5 games left and I need to win 4 of them to clutch rank 2. Got a quick rage quit after going up 2 goals and then I get gifted 3 wins in a row to clutch rank 2.
Best pulls I got from rewards was red Navas, Totw Muller and that road to the knockout Portuguese right back. Not the best, not the worst, but I'm just happy I was able to get there after how hard and frustrating last week was.

A couple weeks ago I picked up Gold Commons from the PL, Serie A, and Ligue 1 for 400-500 coins, about 200K's worth. Sold about half of them, mostly for 800 coins.
Sunk the rest of them into player picks this week. Didn't get a single promo player, best I got was Bruno Fernandes. I did get enough fodder for Koulibaly POTM which was nice. Gonna see if I can squeeze De Ligt in for under 80K maybe...but we'll see.
And I'll probably invest more into golds for future player picks. It's guaranteed profit, and using the leftovers for my own picks is nice. I made sure not to pick up duplicates that hold my transfer list hostage.

Qualified again, easiest one yet, 5-1. Had one game where I was down 5-3 in the 78th minute and came back and won in regular time.
Here's the current in game lineup, everyone's first owned except Navas.
Debating doing Flashback Kante to replace Bruno. Right now he's a box to box and it's working fine, but I think I'd prefer a more defensive midfielder. Wijnaldum is also box to box so I don't have a pure stopgap at the back.
