Do you sim the games or actually play them? If it's strictly the former, try the mobile version of FM21, you can currently try it out for a month for free, it's on Google Play Pass which you can sign up for free for the first month.

when I played FIFA from 06 to 2012 my basic game-playing experience was about the same. What I typically do is I play nearly all the games for the first two seasons, and scout heavily. I try to make a quick sale by signing players from free agency and bringing in some profit.

I’ve played FM from time to time, but I have to be in the mood for it.

Probably the best I can do for my squad...certainly rating wise, and probably gameplaywise...only thing I can think of is grinding the Messi SBC and throwing Verratti in instead of Acuna or Dybala.

Awesome year for my first RTG.

I still have all Objective/SBC cards in my club, and I've been saving good pulls too...so I have a ton of pretty good squads, all 100% first owner:

Lots of success in FIFA 21 career mode as Chelsea with 5 in the back (two wingbacks), two CM, two wingers and a striker; or four in the back, with a CDM, two CM, two wingers and a striker (or false-9). Have found a combination of Werner up front with Vini Jr and Havertz / Rodrygo on the wings to be lethal.

Seems like a lot of defenders received huge pace boosts this year.

Skriniar 80 pace from 69, looks very good varane like
Pepe 80 pace from 66.
Marquinhos up to 81 pace from 72.
Vertonghen is now useable at 76 pace
Rudiger looks good.

Lucas Verissimo has 81 pace as a center back.

Liga Nos defence is definitely looking like the move this year to start. Any mix of Pepe/Vertonghen/Verissimo in the middle + Grimaldo and Manafa on the sides. Marchesin in net.

A bit odd that the web app launches the same day... Usually it's a day before.

I'm probably going to go for an MLS/USA for a starter squad this year. A bit different, and cards should be cheap.

Of course if I get any decent pulls, that could change.

I never get EA play as I like to wait for when everyone else gets the game and there's more people on the game. I don't really think there's much of an advantage getting a week earlier.

Don't know what squad I'll go with, we'll see who we pack. Last year I remember wanting to go with a Chinese super league team, but then I packed De Bruyne day 1 and went immediately to EPL instead.

I will be playing the last weekend league for 21 (stupidly). Probably going to rotate all the leagues throughout the weekend just to have fun with all of the players that I packed over the last couple of weeks.

Curious...the PC still says it's out for PC on Oct 1

edit: i fixed it, i'm downloading now. honestly for me these games have a larger player base on consoles but hey i'll still play on pc, just means i wont' get the full online experience

Did get Ramos and Alaba in the same pack, gonna use em both.

Got Saint Maximin and Werner in the same pack as well, which is about 70K.

Finally got some time to play and tbh I actually kind of like the gameplay. I wasn't sure what to think after watching some gameplay, but it feels really good for me. Packed Lewandowski today which I'm thrilled with except I'm running a La Liga squad at the moment so he's just been coming off the bench.

Would love to, but Im pretty much working from now all through the weekend so I won't have much time to play unfortunately. Once the dodgers season ends I'll have more free time

Opened the packs I saved in the last week, plus my Ultimate Edition FIFA Points:



If you don't wanna watch mostly mediocre/bad packs....pulled Alaba tradeable from my very first pack. Also got Dumfries untradable twice, and Berghuis untradable. Then got Alaba in the Guaranteed pack so I sold my tradeable one. Got Pogba and Werner tradeable as well, so sold them both.

Sitting on 250K liquid plus about 100K worth of discard level In-Forms. Figure they'll rise to at least 20K when the first big SBC drops... Likely gonna spend another 100K on these + some fodder.

Also got enough points for FUT Champions placement games... They're damn difficult, but I managed to scrape 5-4 to qualify for the Finals. Got lucky though...

Not sure how I like the game so far. Have to alter my playing style. I can’t create goal scoring opportunities to save my life and when I do, these keepers are mental. Any tips on creating chances?

I suck at creating chances...I've always been more of a counter attacking player...having to adjust with the slower play.

As far as scoring...low driven shots inside the box are incredibly powerful. Keepers can't save them as well, and they aren't blocked as much either.
