Travis dying was a bit of a surprise but for all the time they spent developing that character they could have given him a better death IMO. Anyway not sure I will continue watching the show. Nick and Madison just bug the hell out of me.

I am not sure why the point was of Strand playing doctor and the random woman I can't remember jumping out of the window. Seems like that time could have spent doing better things.

Considering how much of season 2 I ignored, I had no idea what was going on there.

I forgot all the character names. Is the one that died the actor that can't emote and has the cringe worthy wooden acting?

It was the one who seemed to be turning the corner after beating the guys who killed his son to death with his bare hands last season. I thought there was a lot of mileage to go with the character after that turn and he was starting to "get it".

Instead, he dies and we're stuck with cringeworthy Madison. Ugh.

Meh, I'm fine with anyone dying really. The original cast isn't very good, and has left a bad taste in my mouth. The more that die, the better.

I haven't watched the episode yet, but to me it doesn't make sense to kill Travis, right after you teased him starting to "lose it" or "get it" [depending on which way you look at it] I'll have to watch to see how it happens though.

Though, I have heard better reviews from last nights episode. Considering the last couple of episodes S2, maybe the show is starting to turn the corner.

I thought i may have read that Scott M Gimple and Kirkman are more hands on this season.

Im wondering if Cliff Curtis had a conflict or out clause or if this was the intended route all along.

Not a chance Travis is actually dead. Salazar is going to save him. Guaranteed. He was likely responsible for the shooting of the helicopter, or knew the people who did.

This show is way too predictable. The young guy saying something along the lines of "There's no way he could have survived a fall like that" just gave it away.

I felt the same way about that line, but...

You just watch. If you don't see a body, it's very likely they didn't actually kill the character off. It's typical in these shows.

Until I see a body, I don't believe he's dead. I hope he is, but he's not.

I looked it up, and apparently Kim Dickens, the actress that plays Madison was asked whether he was confirmed dead or not, and she played dumb, so....

...Dave Erickson said Travis is actually dead. I guess there's a possibility they'd screw with us, but I don't think so. And he's not a popular enough character for them to play the Glenn dumpster thing on us (not that they should've with Glenn either).

Yes, after losing his son, going berserk on those guys, and taking down all those walkers infected in the pit like a boss, you'd think this was all for something.

He was shot in the neck and stomach, and fell from a height no one can reasonably survive.

Glenn laughs at you

Watched the episodes. Pretty good start IMO.

The Travis death... kinda random.

Any theories on who shot at them? I assume it's just going to be the new villain group that we haven't met yet.

Best two episodes of the series I thought (Not saying much). Travis is absolutely dead. Unless he lands on a trampoline and into a fully functioning hospital. Some of you think that was he was shot in the stomach too. I thought it was a bite. Guessing he got bit earlier in the pit. Maybe I'm wrong.

One big swing for convincing me he was dead, is the way they were talking about him on Talking Dead (was also on the in memoriam). If Travis shows up alive I may actually LOL.

It was a bite. It's why Aleisha let him go. He's definitely dead. Zero chance he's alive. There's nothing hinting he might be alive either.

Bite makes sense. I wasn't sure when watching it, just that he had some stomach wound that didn't look healthy.

Watched the two eps, better than any other eps this series has put out but I'm pretty upset that they killed Travis. His character was becoming enjoyable and a likeable one, imo. He was getting it and showing a lot more fire. I would have much preferred Madison for and see what rage Travis would have gone through losing Chris and Madison in such a short timeframe.

That walker was also freaky strong pulling Mickey's character through the wall like that. Jesus.

Agree with all of this. Really liked the episodes, and would have loved them if it was Madison dying instead of Travis.

It's definitely an encouraging start.

When this show started out I liked the way it was going. It filled in spaces the Walking Dead did not. Now it's like if I miss an episode I'm not in a rush to catch up because almost nothing happens. For me the height of suspense was when the zombie's trapped in the stadium where trying to get out. After that it's been a road trip.

Kind of disappointed they killed Travis especially after how he was having a strong start to the season and adapting more to the whole world. He and Nick were the more interesting characters for me. Now we have Alisha, Madison and Nick with the enemies turned allies in 10 minutes flat and Strand just randomly in the hotel.

None of the characters are interesting or showing development. I'll probably watch still due to lack of other stuff, but man it's become past annoying how little development there is.

I'm not too sure about that.

It seems like they will have a common enemy, but I certainly don't see them as allies
