Favorite NYR Goal?

Impossible to pick between Richards/Staal/Stepan/St. Louis for me.

As for regular season, definitely this

After being up 1-0 with 2 minutes left, we went down 2-1 after 2 quick goals, then Staal tied it with a minute left. Then the I'm OT call by Sam.

Oh man, I can't believe someone else posted this. Besides Matteau Matteau Matteau, this is my favorite. Mostly for the context. 6 penguin power plays to 0 ranger advantages. I despise the penguins and truly feel they get calls, consciously or not. How a game ends with 6-0 power plays is insane. I remember a Crosby slewfoot in front of a ref too.

We had to battle just to be in that game despite the late pen rally. Tying it short handed was awesome. I eat up the winning against all odds cliche, my favorite regular season win in 24 years of watching.

Jagr empty netter to seal the sweep of Atlanta in 2007 - I was at the Garden and I couldn't believe I was about to see the Rangers win a series after 10 years

Dubinsky wins Game 3 vs. Washington in 2011 - Again... at the Garden and it was such a gutsy performance against a stacked Washington team.

Staal vs. Ottawa, 2012 ECQF Game 7 - the way that series went, you kinda knew first goal was the winner.

Brad Richards and Marc Staal, 2012 Game 5 vs. Washington - does it get any better? *see below*

Michael Del Zotto, 2012 Game 7 vs.s Washington - Pretty much knew the Rangers had put it away here. Even with the quick response.

Martin St. Louis, Mother's Day goal vs. Pitt, Game 4 OT vs. Montreal - was anybody more clutch in the 2014 Cup run?

Dominic Moore, Game 6 vs. Montreal - was watching with a bunch of Rangers fans at a hockey bar in San Diego. We all went ballistic.

Chris Kreider and Ryan McDonagh, Game 5 vs. Washington, 2015 - Yes, it does get better. Literally out of no where with what seemed like the final nail in the 2015 season about to be hammered down.

Derek Stepan, Game 7 vs. Washington - no superlatives needed.

Did anyone mention Marek Maliks shootout goal? That was awesome for a shootout situation.

So there have been plenty of awesome goals, but on a list of goals that I was present for:

5. Zherdev ties it against Pitt.
4. Staal wins the Washington game.
3. Jagr, Jagr, Shanny in 90 seconds vs Fatso
2. Richards ties the Washington game.
1. Is this one because my wife and I were having marital issues at the time where we weren't sure we'd be able to get through it. On the train to NY from CT I told her I was confident we could work through this and stay together. She was skeptical at best. I told her that if Aaron Asham scored that night, then we would be ok....

We have now been married 5 years and have 9 1/2 month old twin boys.

There are more important goals in Ranger history, but this will always be my favourite. The clip doesn't capture the drama and the crowd noise that came through even on TV, when I saw it at the time. All of Chicago Stadium wanted Larmer to score and they roared when he did so in the most Steve Larmer way possible.

Larmer had a broken wrist and couldn't stickhandle, his only shot was a slap shot.

Happened on my 42nd birthday!

A very special moment for my favorite Ranger.

Haha good damn that was ballsy. Glad it worked out :D

Leetch goal Game 7 vs Devils in 1994.

I always thought he went much further below the goal line and Brodeur didn't even budge but he skillfully stopped and reversed losing his man. No poke-check and we may still be lamenting 1940.
