Favorite NYR Goal?

I'm sorry for those who don't need a tissue or two after watching it. Maybe this helps.

Until we win the Cup in a game 7 OT, this is our greatest goal in our history. Obviously.
Maybe read the thread. It's been mentioned a lot, even in the OP.

Not the best goal, but one I can vividly remember as a big one was Hayes' OT winner vs Pitt to go up 3-1 in 2015. Hayes' goofy face like "I did it guys!"

I really liked that goal. Fun moment.

Dont really know if it is my favorite but i remember it like it was yesterday. Fantastic game 7 and 5-0 win over Caps in the 2013 playoffs i think. Great pass by Brassard and fantastic deke by Zucc and it was just a dominating performance by us in that game and Zucc´s goal was the final goal and you could see on the Caps players face on the bench that they really had no chance against us in that game. One of the most fun games ive ever seen by NYR.

MSL in game 4 vs Montreal in 2014.

Stepan in Game 7 vs Washington in 2015.

Richards tying the game with 6.6 seconds left vs Washington in that Game 5 was an unreal moment. Rangers couldn't score and it looked like we were going back to Washington down 3-2 and I was convinced it was over. I was out of my mind stunned when they scored. That's not the Rangers I grew up watching, they never tied the game with their goalie pulled or did something big in the clutch. My formative years as a fan being the dark ages of course, I couldn't believe the Rangers were actually doing the thing. That's why 2012 was such an important year for the core of the team but also for the fans.

Was browsing Ranger's goals on YouTube and this one came up. Totally forgot about it

Man, I miss Dubi sometimes. He absolutely embarrassed the d-man on that move to the net.

Also, Zucc's shot there was insane. Ward didn't even react.

Can you imagine scoring your first NHL goal in OT in front of your home fans. I wonder if Zooks slept at all that night. By the way I have given Torts some grief at times but it was good that he put Zooks out in 4 on 4 sudden death OT.

There are more important goals in Ranger history, but this will always be my favourite. The clip doesn't capture the drama and the crowd noise that came through even on TV, when I saw it at the time. All of Chicago Stadium wanted Larmer to score and they roared when he did so in the most Steve Larmer way possible.

He was so good. He was kind of overshadowed in Chicago by Savard for a while. I wish we would have had Larmer as a Ranger for 5-10 years.

Also, this is Stepan in his prime right here--that split second delay and then drop pass... so good

Yeah, his hesitance to let the offense do anything risky or creative was bad but his real strength was reading and using his players' emotions. He likely had a read on how competitive Zucc is, knew it was his first game and a big big chance to get a first goal, and threw him out there. He still seems to have that skill with CBJ.

Carcillo was good at hockey. I mean he was a 4th liner, but very clearly an NHL player with indefinable attributes.

Efficient scorer, played acceptable defense, drew penalties. And he did "tough" things which is fine as long as the player isn't bad or overpaid.

I agree, and, like many alleged hotheads who have come to the Rangers with a bad rep, he played within the bounds of the game while here -- I don't remember him throwing dirty hits anything like that.

I really liked him while he was here, and I admire him for the work he's been doing since he retired from the game.
