I run a cash 16 team H2H league. Regular 5x5 scoring (net SB), plus ops, tb, cycle. Pitching is 35 inning min, W, K, era, whip, sv, hld, OBPa, no hitter.

I'm ask your opinion: I'm offering the last place team (who has 7 on the DL (only 4 spots), and needs SP)

Kershaw
Franco

For

Trout
Paxton - DL

*Also I only have 2 other SP: Sale & Strasburg. I took a gamble this year and drafted SP with my first 3 picks. So far so good, straight killing pitching. Just getting by on hitting, sometimes not though. Thinking I could use some hitting insurance, then stream a SP every once and a while.

Wouldn't normally ask opinions/advice, but this trade obviously would make the earth shake.

Go for it Pantherboy. No one will be offended by that offer.

Would also like to offer you a chance to join the Sharks board as an honorary bandwagon representative.
We already have CanadienSharksboy and LeafsSharksboy. So we are in need of a PanthersSharksboy.

So unfortunately I had an emergency when my $50 league draft was done. I've won or finished 1st overall in this league (or both) 4 of the 5 seasons we've run it. So I've made a little table showing my autodrafted team and what I've managed to turn it into. Thoughts?

Position | Drafted | Current
Catcher|Wilson Contreras|Wilson Contreras
First Base|Hanley Ramirez|Joey Votto
Second Base|Daniel Murphy|Daniel Murphy
Shortstop|Francisco Lindor|Chris Taylor
Third Base|Adrian Beltre|Manny Machado
Outfield|Charlie Blackmon|Charlie Blackmon
Outfield|Ryan Braun|JD Martinez
Outfield|JD Martinez|Kevin Pillar
Utility|Matt Kemp|DJ Lemahieu
Utility|Adam Jones|Aaron Hicks
Starting Pitcher|Clayton Kershaw|Yu Darvish
Starting Pitcher|Jameson Taillon|Stephen Strasburg
Relief Pitcher|Wade Davis|Wade Davis
Relief Pitcher|David Robertson|David Robertson
Pitcher|Aaron Nola|Michael Wacha
Pitcher|Steven Matz|Bud Norris
Pitcher|Julio Urias|Jose Berrios
Pitcher|Taijuan Walker|Alex Cobb
Bench|Hunter Pence|Jose Reyes
Bench|Marcell Ozuna|Hanley Ramirez
Bench|Salvador Perez|Mitch Haniger
Bench|Ryon Healy|Charlie Morton
Bench|Alex Cobb|Eduardo Rodriguez
DL|NONE|Noah Syndergaard

Traded Urias for Syndergaard because I don't think I'll able to finish in 1st this year but I could have a shot at the playoffs.

I just cut McCutchen in a dynasty league. Damn, he declined fast.

I cant believe it either. Not sure what happened to him.

Ugh I had Baez on my bench today and he hit a slam and another RBI. I only have him because he's a good bench bat thanks to being eligible at 2nd and SS. Useless player otherwise.

Bud Norris has been pretty awesome in the closer role. Take your time, Cam and Huston.

Huston Street is horrible (and always hurt). It's a blessing in disguise for the Angels that he's hurt. I got Norris in a few leagues. Yeah, he has been pretty good.

I <3 Ian Happ

I got him for a dollar in my auction dynasty league. Plus, since he started more than five games at second in the minors this year, he's eligible at second for next season. :)

I need a cut (a second if I want to call up Bellinger, but it's been a lost season for me in this one, so I'm holding off). It's a 14 team 7x7 H2H dynasty (standard plus OBP, SLG, holds and quality starts).

C- empty
1B- Rizzo
2B- Dozier
3B- Franco
SS- Bogaerts
IF- Healy
OF- Upton
OF- Mazara
OF- Conforto
OF- Bruce
Util- Hicks

SP- Carrasco
SP- Wheeler
SP- Bradley
RP- Herrera
RP- Rodney
RP- Johnson
P- Norris
P- Harris
P- Glover
P- Rivero

BN- Bregman
BN- Polanco (DL, no more DL spots)
BN- D. Peralta
BN- McCarthy
BN- Aa. Sanchez
BN- Velasquez
BN- Kennedy (DL, no more DL spots)

DL- Tulowitzki
DL- N. Jones
DL- J. Gray

Thanks! Wilson Ramos is available, and he's going to start a rehab assignment soon. I also have Bellinger rotting in my minors like I said, but I'm not sure if I want to call him up since I'm doing so poorly anyway.

Could you guys rank these shortstops for me in order that you would trade them in?

Machado ($28)
Correa ($18)
Seager ($18)
Segura ($16)

It is a dynasty league. Thanks.

I prefer them in the order you have them listed. But I might consider trading Correa presuming the return would be significant.

Correa
Segura
Seager
Machado

I was just offered this:

Gallo, Leake, Senzatela for Braun and Nola

I don't have any read on Gallo, and don't love either of the pitchers (I especially don't really trust Leake), but I'm also not that high on Nola anymore, and I'm really sick of Braun's constant injuries and just want to move on from him. Is the value really off?

I tried offering him Braun for Cueto straight up, which was rejected. I might try and counter with something like Braun and Nola for Cueto and Leake, or Cueto and Gallo. Any suggestions appreciated--I don't really need the position player, since I have kind of a logjam there, with Marte in limbo wasting a spot and eventually needing one in July, and then solid OF options with Dickerson, Grichuk, Polanco, with Thames and Bell as U. Grichuk kind of sucks, but we have dedicated LF,RF,CF, and he's my only CF option at the moment -- Marte normally fills it, and I had been using Haniger until he got hurt, so will revert to him when he's back at the end of the week.

I think I like Braun/Nola for Cueto/Leake, or maybe I even take a gamble on Cueto and the Rockies pitcher... I'm guessing he must like Braun, and he's asked for Nola before. Cueto is on his trading block.

Made this trade yesterday:

I got:

Posey
Murphy
Stroman
Moustakas

I gave up:

Machado
Zobrist
Lynn

Thoughts?

It is a keeper league where you keep 2 players, so moving on from Machado is tough but I still have Harper and Bogaerts/Posey to keep. I'm currently in 9th place at the moment, so I thought a shake up was necessary and I got great value.

DJ Spinoza: Which side are you getting? Gallo's power is real, and so is his lack of average. I don't like Nola, either.

Big Poppa Puck: Looks good to me.

Whoops, sorry for the confusion - I own Nola and Braun. I agree that the Gallo power is real, but he isn't the greatest fit for me in a trade. I have Moose at 3B, who isn't great, but is totally serviceable, and having a great year. I doubt I'd use a keeper spot on Gallo.

He withdrew the offer, but I just countered with Nola and Braun for Cueto and Leake. I really don't love the idea of trading for Leake, but I'll take my chances with Cueto, and just move on from Nola's volatility and Braun's constant injuries. I have Dickerson, Thames, and technically Haniger and Marte all as LF options for me, and plan to use one of my U spots for Josh Bell (Goldy is my 1B).

The other option is trying to do a trade for Arenado, who for whatever reason this guy wants to deal in a trade for Kershaw. But I feel like doing that requires a bigger rebuild. Maybe Kershaw + Braun for Arenado (who only has a salary of 12, compared to Kershaw's 45) wouldn't be a terrible lateral move, but pitching is the hardest thing to get, and Kershaw is always a lock for excellent pitching stats.

Nola/Braun for Cueto/Leake was rejected, no counter.

Our cap is 260. I have a ton of guys who are way under league average and good, so that has helped smooth things out, but I agree that he's getting expensive, and at some point I should refocus. I'm not against moving him for Arenado, but this guy wants to use Arenado in order to get a top 10 SP, a good batter, and a third good piece, which is a little too steep for me.

He is offering Conforto + Arenado for Kershaw + Goldschmidt, which I won't do. I might see if I can get him to do something like Arenado + Conforto for Kershaw + Braun + Chapman, which was a package that interested him before.
