Quadruple post time!

There's no reason why I should consider hanging onto Urena, right? Especially if he's in an RP start and I can't really shield him from starts? I really like the upside, but I can't see him putting it together consistently, so he seems more like a scratch off lottery ticket for streaming starts, and not like someone you want to see if they'll put it all together.

I honestly haven't been following him since I don't own him anywhere. If he's really as wild as he was yesterday, then I'd release him.

As for pitching prospects, how deep of a league are you in? I'm not really a prospects guy, though.

My league is really deep - we have 5 SP slots each, and many teams use the 5 bench spots for 5 SPs too. So 12 teams means 110-120 or so SPs being owned, I guess. Not everyone does a full 5 on the bench, but most seem to.

I am going to abandon Urena I think. I actually watched some of the game, and he was insanely dominant early, but then he completely lost the thread. He's tempting since he has RP eligibility, but with the wildness, I think he has the danger of being the kind of guy who might have some mediocre starts, one or two huge ones, and then a decent number of bad flameouts, so it's hard to let him sit in the RP spot.

Plus, now it looks like I need an RF, since Polanco just hurt himself pretty badly from the looks of it. I am going to try and add Souza for now, who has good matchups, and drop Urena and just put and injured Chapman back in the RP spot. My team is a trail of injured players... I have Morton and Haniger both on my bench because I have no room for them on the DL. Luckily I'm playing a team that might be worse than me this week, but I need to snag another win at all costs.

Dragging the waiver wire for 2B help - I should probably just start looking at matchups and riding guys for one or two weeks at a time, but I'd also just as soon save the minuscule waiver money and hassle. These are the best options in my view:

Forsythe
Hernandez
Frazier
Merrifield
Lowrie
Harrison
Walker
Drury

I'm H2H points, with no counting stats like runs, RBIs, etc. The best approach is usually to just get the best overall hitter, good OBP etc. Power is a nice bonus, but I tend not to weight it heavily if it means one guy is a significantly worse overall hitter.

These guys all have appealing factors. I started with Forsythe, but turned to Hernandez when he got hurt. Could go back to him, as I think Hernandez is going to be streaky. Currently sitting with Frazier, who I do think is the best hitter, but I'm worried about Hurdle's infinite calculus of stupid lineup decisions, playing guys like John Jaso over him.

Drury is appealing, but I think he's also streaky. I don't love either Harrison or Walker. Lowrie has had the best season by our point total, so I may just go with him, but I also like the potential upside with Merrifield.

Intrigued by Merrifield.

I have Trout, Harper, Correa, Corey Seager, Segura, Kershaw and others in one of my salary dynasty leagues for all under market value. I now have to sell because of Trout's injury. I thought I could go for it this year, and I knew I'd have to rebuild soon since I wasn't going to be able to afford everyone next year. Sigh...

Ouch I wouldn't of done that. Keuchel already hit his peak when he won the Cy Young and likely won't ever get back to that level. Mind you Torres is an unknown when it comes to the majors so who knows.

Yeah, after thinking about it now, I kinda regret it already. Oh well, flags fly forever, and I want to win my league. I also got Jose Bautista in the trade, although that probably doesn't move the needle that much.

Why would you be regretting it? It's a deal you do in a heartbeat. For the past week I've been trying to swing a deal for Keuchel but you beat me to it. You are a serious threat to win it all, especially after last week's 11-0 demolition job.

I probably bought high on Keuchel.

And yeah, I expect to win now, although the playoffs (if I make it) are a crapshoot.

He's at that level again right now though.

I've never been in a dynasty league, so I can't really wrap my head around giving up a nothing prospect for a top 5 pitcher in fantasy right now. And getting Bautista! Are you supposed to just keep planning for the future or?

It depends. My team missed the playoffs two years ago, so I traded Edwin for a 1st (which turned out to be Torres), a 2nd and Severino. It all depends on how your team does. If it's doing poorly, try to sell off some of your older players. I feel like I have a team that can win, so I'm going for broke.

You didn't give up much. V-Mart is old and kinda crap, Merrifield is dime a dozen, Healy is good player but will never be a star. Torres is a big loss but you have to give to get. Like i said it's a highway robbery.

4 good teams this year. You were one of them before the trade. Now i think you are a clear cut favorite.
