If Braun is available in your league, its time to find a new league.

Sooo hard to trade a catcher. Finally got a bite on Gary Sanchez. Sent him off with Jesse Hahn and got Michael Fulmer in return. Not crazy about it, but he's my 2nd best pitcher now for a guy who I would have to play over Buster Posey.

I'm not crazy about it either, but if Sanchez was rotting on your bench, at least you got something for him.

 most of my friends aren't super fans like me so they don;t care for fantasy baseball, I'm stuck joining these public leagues. Sometimes you get a good one, sometimes you don't.

Was in a good one for 3 years, won 2/3 and then the commissioner shut the league down.

Ugh i hate the waiver system in yahoo, i lost out on fraizer and abreu because of the randomly decided waiver priority, then someone dropped longoria, put a claim in for him and noticed it failed because my roster was at max.

What happened was i put a guy on the dl, noticed someone dropped longoria, put in a claim, it usually asks who are you going to drop when i put the claim in, but since i just put someone on the dl it didnt, so i make the claim, it takes like 4 days for the process to finish, during that time i picked up someone for my injured guy sitting on the dl and thus today get an email that I couldnt claim him because my roster was at max capacity.

The guy who got abreu also got longoria now.

Read my post as well, lots of guys who shouldnt be dropped being dropped by casual baseball fans who dont really watch, yet still somehow they are dominating.

The guy in the lead in my league barely watches baseball, on paper he has an ok but subpar team (his top picks were great) and has dropped abreu and fraizer. Its a head to head league and he is currently winning.

For perspective this is his batting lineup.

Bryce Harper
Trea Turner
Nelson Cruz
Joey Votto
Chris Owings
Avisail Garcia
Jean Segura
Cesar Hernandez
Travis Shaw
Wilson COntreras
Brandon Philips
Eugino Suarez

And he mopped the floor against this batting roster last week against a guy who watches alot of baseball.

Jose Altuve
Paul Goldschmidt
Kyle Schwarber
Giancarlo Stanton
Jose Abreu
Adam Jones
Brandon Crawford
Evan Longoria
Lorenzo Cain
Andrew Benintendi
Justin Turner

Yeah, you gotta free up a roster spot before the date of the claim is finalized.

Also, why is the waiver priority random? On Yahoo! the waiver priority should at first be opposite of the draft order. Then, whoever wins a waiver claim, is then assigned with last on the waiver priority.

Yeah, the reverse order of the draft is what the order is in my one year leagues. In my dynasty leagues, I carry the waiver order from the previous year.

I dont know, i just didnt understand how the guy who picked ahead of me also made claims before me.

I think it might be because during the first few days of the season for some reason when i added someone who was a FA it treated it like waivers. All i can remember is i had to wait a number of days for the free agent to get added and from what i recall it sounded like he had to go through the waiver process. I believe three days after the draft and into the season i noticed someone i liked.

As for the waiver max capacity issue its just annoying because the process failed due to order of operations, i put a guy on the DL then noticed longoria and put a claim in, then added someone for my injured guy after. If I put the claim in before i put my guy on the DL it would have made me drop someone when i put the claim in which is what usually happened to prevent my very issue. I have a bunch of injured players right now. I will have to watch more closely now so I dont do this again but I dont see many more longoria's getting dropped especially after the people who dropped abreu and longoria got ridiculed a bit.

Cut/Trade one of: Hosmer, Belt, Gonzalez & Alonso

Belt getting OF eligibility on ESPN is huge. Still tempted to keep Alonso and try to move Hosmer for help elsewhere.

I've been offered Verlander for Odor -- one under-performing asset for another. I need pitching but I also need RBIs. Thoughts?

What does the rest of your pitching look like? Who is your backup second baseman?
So the deal we're talking about is Verlander and Brad Miller for Martin Perez and Odor.

The league is 12 teams, AL-only, 5x5, rotisserie.

My pitchers right now:

- Quintana
- Porcello
- Graveman
- Pomeranz
- Nolasco
- Perez

- Gregerson
- Alex Wilson
- Casilla
- Bud Norris

DJ Espinoza were you able to grab any shares of Jose Berrios before his call-up today?

No, someone had been stashing him unfortunately.

My team is a disaster, but I finally managed to eek out a win last week. Now taking on the undefeated first place team, so I should probably use it as a chance to assess what I have going forward. I already have 5 players on the DL, Chapman and Braun not included, and Marte occupying a spot as a suspended player. I have effectively 2 bench spots. It seems like Nola will be back relatively soon, then Matz and Haniger by early June, and Taillon not too long after that. The worst thing is that I might have been better off taking the Arenado/Kershaw deal given that Chapman and Braun went on the DL immediately afterwards. I'm sure I might still be able to work something like that later in the season. For now just hoping to eek by, maybe snag another win.
