Are you serious? It is a fact he will move to Chicago or Rockford after Jokerit's season ends this year.

He is not ready for NHL yet. Should bulk up and get a high scoring season with more responsibility as a center to become better overall and even more confident offensively.
He is not that dominant in FEL right now, FEL has still alot to offer for him.

I still remember Perttu Lindgren.

Are you saying Kessel is a one dimensional goal scorer? He's one of the best playmaking wingers in the league.

They remind me of each other in the sense that both like to carry the puck, both have great vision, great hands and are very shifty, but both are fairly soft/small. Kessel is faster with a better shot, and a higher skill level in general, hence a poor man's Kessel, but that could still be an excellent player. Kessel was a centre pre-NHL, but like Kessel I think TT's game is likely going to be better suited to the wing at the NHL level.

Kessel and Teravainen aren't similar at all. They don't play the game at anywhere near the same pace. Kessel's game is all about speed and making plays/taking shots off the rush. Get him the puck and let him carry it through the neutral zone and beat defenders wide. Teravainen's game is about puck movement and puck support. He uses his linemates more effectively through the neutral zone and in transition.

Kessel wants to be on top of the play. That's why he wasn't suited to play centre.

As some of you know, I speak to Teuvo fairly regularly so I will ask him what his plans are for next season. I'll keep you guys updated and probably just edit my post when I next speak to him.

If he won't be NHL ready next season he'll play in the AHL then.

How has he been playing after that 3 point night - or hasn't he? Apparently not.

Hopefully he can build on his recent success and shut the doubters mouths. I mean racking up points like no tomorrow.

I think a lot has to do with his upright posture always head up which affects his stride makes it look like didn't ever skate all out.

...

He had one assist in the game on Tuesday, Jokerit lost 3-1.
It was his second game back from the WJC, so 2games 0+4

You had it sound like it´s his duty to play in NA next season. I've always thought AHL is not the best developmental league fo european players, but more like a transition league.
It might hurt to Jokerit fans, to see him in another finnish club, but that could work well before moving to NA. Anyway there is going to be a bunch of young players moving to another finnish clubs from Jokerit.

The plan is and always has been to have Teravainen come to N.A next season. Playing another year in Finland won't be a wasted year, but playing in N.A is the best way to learn how to play in N.A.

Teuvo has no need to stay in Finland beyond this season, neither do some of the other prospects, like Ville Pokka. It would actually be a stupid move. TT needs to learn how to play the NA game and the best place to do that is the AHL if he's not ready for the NHL. Staying in Europe for too long can be detrimental.

He might've had a bad start to the year, but that was mostly because the whole team sucked. Now after a great performance at the WJC, he has been tearing it up in FEL. So he currently sits at 1+5 in three games after the tourney. Mind you the third game still has one period left.

1g 1a after two periods of play against Kärpät who leads the FEL this season

1 more assist on overtime.

Fun fact: Jokerit has scored 7 goals in 3 games since Teräväinen return from WJC. Teräväinen has 1+6=7 points.

Damn im glad his WJC flow continued. He is just a ****ing beast. :yo: So different player than in autumn

It seems like he doesn't score a lot of goals, mostly assists. Is there a specific reason for this like his shot isn't good or something or is it just his style of play.

He doesn't gain anything anymore after this season from playing in Finland nor Europe. He needs to get used to more physical play (his weakness right now) and the faster tempo and decision making required in the small rink.

I think he has a pretty good wrist shot - not sure why his goal total is not so good. He score 11+7 as a 17yo, 13+18 last season and is 4+20 so far this season. I don't know if they're just not going in or if he is consciously trying to set up teammates more this season. We need some of the Finns who watch the Jokerit games to comment on that.

Hes trying to set up everyone and his linemates are incapable of making anything happen with the puck so it's all on TT to control the puck and set up.

Wow, that WJC tournaments and games after it... Now its starting to look good thinking about that NHL career. Like really good!

Obivously lots of work to be done for NHL like always, but still. He can be so good player if gets muscle and strength and the legs he needs in NHL.
