Teräväinen 0+3 half way trought.. Jokerit beating TPS big time not least because of Teuvo Teräväinen.

Teräväinen just keeps racking up the points...

Has 0+2 around 30 minutes in to Jokerit - TPS game, both primary assists.

2+11 in 5 and half games since returning from WJC.

Make that 3 assists. Nagy got his 3rd. If Jokerit could play only against TPS and Kalpa for the rest of the season. TPS certainly proving they are the worst team in the league.

so is teuvo playing center and if so is he more of passer than anything or does he have a shotÉ

He's probably a pass first guy but he has a decent shot - pretty good wrister and accurate. I think 2 of the 3 assists he got today came on rebounds of TT's shots.

He's had a more balanced goal/assist ratio last year in both WJC (6+5 in 7 games) and sm-liiga (13+18 in 41 games). But this year the goals aren't going in as much in both WJC (2+13 in 7 games) and sm-liiga (5+26 in 35 games).

Year ago, I would had said Teuvo is more of a winger than center. Now it looks like he is more and more comfortable in the middle, at both ends of the rink.

He just needs to bulk up in the summer, without losing his other assets and future will be bright for him.

6 games, 2+12 in FEL. That is just..:handclap:

Btw, he has been named the "hottest player of FEL" for 2 weeks straight now. If he somehow can keep up with similar stats, he will definitely acquire all major trophies after the end of season. What's next? -Doing the same in the NHL:sarcasm:

Aboslutely tearing it up right now. Kinda have to eat my hat hair, I almost wrote him off after last year. Glad I was wrong!

Amazing. Who could have thought?

I watched the lake placid tournament this summer that is sort of a warmup to the world juniors and Teräväinen absolutely dominated the entire tournament. Thats when i personally believed he would be star at the WJC. Hockey sport usa commentator said in lake placid tournament his not seen domination like that since Patrick Kane and referred Teuvo has chance to become special player at next level.

Pretty much everyone on these boards saw him as a top 6 pick that year. I was mad that the Sabres took Girgs over him, but with how well Girgs has played I wish we took Teuvo over Grigs.
At first glance this is a very confusing sentence.

Nice to see Teravainen continuing to produce, he's always been a favourite prospect of mine. Plus he has a sick name.

I have to say i was surprised after seeing his lack of production during the first 20 games or so but after looking at the lineup and how it lacks offensive skill, it's pretty much just a grinding team (great grinders at FEL level) and defensive-minded i kinda figured he had no one to play with. Then before WJC's i read a great article about him, how his confidence was really low, how the coaches didn't utilize him the right way and the defense first system really hurt his chances to put his skills to use i wondered if succeeding in the WJC's changed all that.

Now he's got the confidence back and Jokerit acquired some offensive players. Seems like it's pretty safe to say that most of it was just other things, not the man himself.

Maybe it's different system now in Jokerit with new head coach? I haven't really watched Jokerit games this season so I don't know.

Neither do i anymore but their new coach has been coaching juniors in the same organization and what i've heard he doesn't really have anything new to offer. Pretty much sees the game the same way previous coach did. I saw that move only as a wake-up call since the team wasn't doing so well. Jokerit are going to the KHL next year anyways with a new coach so doesn't really matter.

Mind blowing that after Jokerit's season is done that TT can possibly be inserted into the Blackhawks lineup. Can't wait to see him with Kane. Magic.

Surprise surprise, TT gave the primary assist to Jokerit only goal in 1-2 SO loss today.
Kept his point streak going.
Has points in every game since WJC, 8gp 2+14.

there are two things - whether he's nhl read and if he is what role he'll play

his nhl-readiness remains to be seen

if he is ready, keep in mind he has little competition for the 2c spot. @ C ... the Hawks are solid @ #1. they're also pretty solid bottom six. it's 2c that is wide open...and Coach Q has tended to reject the available options.

not only that but he was filled w/ praise re Teuvo during camp (and apparently Bowman wanted him to stick around but it was too complex to get him out of his Jokerit contract).

...all of which is to say..if the Hawks think he's ready to go, he'll probably make the team w/ little resistance.
