Insane start to the playoffs for Reway.

Tied with Drouin and his linemate Tardif-Richard for the lead in the playoffs scoring race with 7 pts in 2 games.

He's also +8 after 2 games.

2 games, weak opponent... Lets wait for at least 10 games

The guy is a +15 in 4 games... LOL!!! Also 11 pts which is only 2 pts behind Drouin.

For context, might be worth noting that his teammate Tardif-Richard actually has more goals and points, as Gatineau outscored Cape Breton 29-7.

Will be interesting to see how the match-ups go if Gatineau plays Halifax.

Tardif-Richard had 42 pts in 55 games as a 20 years old in the Q. He starts the playoffs with Reway and suddenly he becomes a 3 PPG guy.

That is quite the compliment for Reway who is 2 years and a half younger. :)

Of the three Olympiques games I've seen this year, he's been the best player on the ice each game. I've come around on him as a small skill guy who might just make it at the NHL level.

In terms of style, would a midget Hemsky or Samsonov be a comparable for Reway? Highly skilled, has skating ability, prone to puck hogging and really stupid plays at times.

Nice to see him racking it up but he's a long shot to stick in the NHL. He'll give his coaches fits turning the puck over. And he's tiny.

Lets say, gatineau will lost some of the next rounds. Then i wouldn't be surprised, if we see him on next World Championship. Then we can see him play again men.

Reway is going to play for Slovak NT during WC.

It is officially confirmed? All i know is, he will play in the next 2 games.

Tampa is now out (Panik), LA Kings almost (Gaborik) and Detroit probably (Tatar and Jurco)... Does he have any chance?

Most of the european guys who have played in the previous tournaments have declined(Zaborsky, Hossa, Olvecky, Bartovic etc.) so i think he has a decent change.

according to his agent there are 2 possible leagues.

Czech league and Sparta Praha or QMJHL.

He said, if he will move to Czech league, then he will close his door to NHL for some years. Because Canadiens will have the rights for him for another 4 years, so they will be not in hurry with him.
If he will go to QMJHL, Canadiens have to offer him a contract next year. If not, he will be free to negotiate with other teams.

I don't believe that is correct when it comes to owning his rights, unless the new CBA has some vastly different rules on this.

The rules that handle rights are applied on where the player was playing when he was drafted, not where he is after the fact. Reway was drafted out of the QMJHL and therefore is handled as a CHL player (needs to be given a bona-fide offer each year and signed two years after his draft).
Similar circumstances happen with players jumping from the NCAA to junior hockey (an example would be Philippe Hudon in the QMJHL).

A similar example would be Mario Kempe, a Swedish player drafted in 2007 by the Flyers out of the QMJHL. He returned to Europe in the summer of 2008 and although the Flyers offered him a contract in 2010, I believe his rights with the team expired on June 1st, 2009.

Again, I could be incorrect, but I don't believe that Reway going to Europe leads to Montreal getting extra time to hold his rights.

You're right. It's the same thing when an American or a European goes to CHL after being drafted in the NHL. Their NHL team holds their rights for 5 years anyway.
