Yeah, it seems the odds are that Nazar will be playing at Michigan this season. However, to play devil's advocate...The Hawks have close connections with the London Knights. I believe the Hawks recently hired Dale Hunter's daughter, Meghan Hunter, as the assistant general manager joining ex-London Knight GM, Jim McKellar with the organization. There is no doubt that Dale Hunter would provide Nazar with every opportunity to succeed. Lots of ice-time, play the full 2 minutes on the PP, etc...He would be the go-to-guy with the Knights. Worked out okay for Pat Kane. Of course, if he signs with the Hawks this summer, he's definitely London bound.

I'll place my bets on the development program going on at Michigan over London any day. Look at the top-end talent over the last handful of years and Wolverines are everywhere. That program only seems to be getting stronger for developing excellence.

Is Alabama really good at developing football players or do lots of great football players just go to Bama?
You definitely have a valid point. I'd say it is a little of column A, and a little of column B. How do the players perform after 'Bama? I think having players go to Michigan won't hurt their development at least. They seem to know how to not screw up too many.

Both. They bring in top 5 recruiting classes every year, but they also have very detailed and intense practices. Their strength and conditioning is top notch, too. Also, I hated typing this out since I hate Bama. Compare them to a school like Texas, who bring in high rated classes and their players don't really improve.

I'm curious to see what happens with Michigan players going to the NHL or going back to Michigan - especially Matty Beniers and Kent Johnson because it will affect the ice time and opportunities for Nazar. My guess is Beniers will play with Seattle but Johnson will return to college.

Johnson signed with Columbus. Beniers signed with Seattle.

Get the boy to London.

Well this sux!

I liked he was going to UM because they have had such a powerful program lately and have been turning out top NHL draft picks by the bushel ... but now ... I'm not so sure it would be the best situation for our best prospect to get embroiled into this mess.

Maybe London would be a better option.
